  1. Better gear ratio, I currently have a 3x10.
  2. Forgot to add this to it, lucky I bought a 3x10 a while back. So just two new chainrings. I'll hold out till the rings are finished and
  3. Yip, but it is gonna cost a bit. I'm in the process of doing so at the moment, and buying all the parts ain't cheap. You will need:- 10 Speed Rear Derailleur 10 Speed Chain New Front Chainrings - 38/26 10 Speed Shifters. 10 Speed Cassette. You can get away with a 9 speed front derailleur. If anything rather wait till you have to do rather then want to do it. Edit - added cassette to the list. You can also add a drivetrain if you don't have a 3x10 to convert to a 2x10.
  4. Thanks, see you Sunday then
  5. Is it just a matter of rocking up, paying and then riding? Would be really keen to support & ride.
  6. I rode with a guy up Smitswinkel and had a good chat, I take my hat off to these chaps, I lost him going up Chappies, but he caught me at Suikerbossie and helped me get to the top.
  7. Thanks for all the info, and well done to yourself.
  8. Thanks, I guess I'll have to do a few more road races Will be good to learn the road racing techniques.

I found this as well, the Songo guys in white kit on MTB's as well as a bunch of guys in green kit that caused an accident going into Simonstown. They where all over the place.
  10. So, I can assume that yesterdays race will put me into a better seeding for next year?

Yip, had to work by myself the entire race after starting in batch OE, not fun in that wind. I seemed to attract people sitting behind me though. I think most people that are doing it in the lower groups need to be better educated on the road. I ended up doing a lot of braking because of folks just wandering all across the road without a care in the world and what was coming up behind them. This being my first Argus, I'm already amped for next year Will need to be better seeded, that's for sure.

Unlucky, but very well done nonetheless. That's hauling some serious ass especially in the wind.

Smashed my first Argus with a time 4h08mins. Was gunning for the sub 4 but the old knee blew out at the top of Suikerbossie. Otherwise was an awesome day out on the bike and pretty stocked with my performance.
  15. Heading off to the start
  16. Starting at 10am, looks like I'll be riding into hurricane winds

  18. Nice to have met the man behind the hub
  19. Seems a bigger couch is needed. No photos of any hubbers on the couch?
  20. That's the problem right there!! Now if you had been on a 36er, you would probably still have been behind him
  21. Simple, you don't
  22. ....and properly trained bus drivers that don't speed it seems
  23. I guess I'll take the bus in, or is there somewhere safe to lock the bike up at the Expo?
