  1. After all the Merida/ Spez owner ship blah blah blah, does that mean my Merida is part Specialized?
  2. Not all, I looked at getting a Spez but they never got back to me unfortunately. So moved onto something else. Was genuinely thinking of someone that rides a really crap bike but has potential
  3. I've taken my bikes to Bloemfontein Tyger Wheel & Tyre. ****, Bloem is a dive
  4. You could always donate them to the less fortunate, like someone that rides a Makro special
  5. Yip, seems the medium cages are in very short supply at the moment, no one in the country seems to have any. I guess I'll have to wait till I get to Durbs to see, or otherwise CRC is my friend. I don't feel like settling though, good to hear you got all sorted out.
  6. Thanks Droo, I see you were crazy busy yesterday, thanks again for the fantastic service and turn around
  7. I think I will also need to also get a larger middle ring if I'm to take off the large ring?
  8. Interesting that on the T-shirt, it looks like it says that the business was established in 2002?
  9. My current set up on the bike is a 3x10 XT crankset(42/32/24), with 9 speed rear cassette and 9 speed front derailluer and 9 Speed rear derailleur & 9 Speed Shifters. The 3x10 crank works perfectly with the 9 speed setup I currently have. I have a 11/36 10 speed cassette for the conversion , as well as I have purchased some new 10 speed XT shifters(which I can use as 2x10 or 3x10). I just need to go buy a rear dearilleur, but not sure which one ie long, medium or short XT Clutch, also not sure of the 9 Speed front derailleur will work as well, as I currently use it with as for a 3x9 setup, or would I have to also buy a new one to work with a 2x10 setup? I plan to take off one of the rings on the 3x10 crankset and make it a 2x10 rather. I hope this is enough info?
  10. I currently have a 3x10 XT Crankset, and would like to go to 2x10. with the current deals at either Easybike or CWC, the prices are too good not to do it now. I already have an 11/36 10 Speed cassette, and a set of 10 speed shifters, both XT as well Two questions, will my current 9 speed front derailleur work? Secondly, which rear derailluer should I go for long, medium or short, I'm looking at the Xt with clutch mechanism. What is the difference between them besides the length and how do I know what to get. Many Thanks
  11. So many bikes to choose from, so don't necessarily just look at Scott or Spez, although both decent very capable bikes. As Wayne says, get that one that makes you want to go home and punish the wife/girlfriend/boyfriend for being a naughty girl/boy
  12. I would go with this Giant XTC Carbon and a dropper post
  13. So, been given an amazing price on the Trance, with an upgrade to Stans wheelset, XT Brakes, Crankset & Rear Derailler for just over 30K, looks like I will be able to keep a kidney
  14. That is the one thing to check, what didn't work exactly the last time?
  15. I must concur Works black is the new black. Nice looking build there
  16. http://news.sky.com/...d-by-knighthood
  17. Co-op cycle shops are certainly found more overseas then locally. They are a brilliant idea to say the least.
  18. Nice work, well done . I had to put mine on hold due to work being too busy and another side project, will get this sorted out in the New Year.
