  1. Have we reached a mutual conclusion to the rear derailleur situation?

With the amount of deals that have gone pear shaped & cases of fraud, not many people will look at buying from someone that has no history or buy from someone that hadn't even made a post till after selling some goods. I think it's great, it's not a rant at all. It may be cynical, but as mentioned fraud is ripe all over the interweb and you can never be too careful

That's fairly remarkable being a noobie with one post
  5. It was also a bit of tongue in cheek
  6. That's what I ask myself? I have the Fox CTD and have had no issues so far and think it works fine for my level of riding
  7. Greg Minnaar can't be that wrong with his fork selection
  8. Bwah ha ha, sharp
  9. You do, Good2Go in Pinetown - Speak to Mark or Jason. Best in town
  10. Sherbert, I'm in trouble then, I wear white shoes and smoke Please do not try take my bike away from me. All said and done, well done for your part
  11. That makes two of us , pity I went out and bought a new 10 speed derailleur on the advice of a few people & mechanics
  12. Funny that, when I sought advice from your very mechanics I was told otherwise, they should be on the sales floor rather Would that be cause my crankset is a 3x10?

I passed two guys at the bottom of Smitswinkel, they had very long seat posts. The were going balls to wall into that wind.
  14. Pour on the wound, drink it at the same time. Along the lines of how the cowboys did it when digging out a bullet
  15. Dettol and a stiff bristled scrubbing brush and a bottle of whiskey. Good Luck
  16. Better gear ratio, I currently have a 3x10.
  17. Forgot to add this to it, lucky I bought a 3x10 a while back. So just two new chainrings. I'll hold out till the rings are finished and
  18. Yip, but it is gonna cost a bit. I'm in the process of doing so at the moment, and buying all the parts ain't cheap. You will need:- 10 Speed Rear Derailleur 10 Speed Chain New Front Chainrings - 38/26 10 Speed Shifters. 10 Speed Cassette. You can get away with a 9 speed front derailleur. If anything rather wait till you have to do rather then want to do it. Edit - added cassette to the list. You can also add a drivetrain if you don't have a 3x10 to convert to a 2x10.
  19. Thanks, see you Sunday then
  20. Is it just a matter of rocking up, paying and then riding? Would be really keen to support & ride.
  21. I rode with a guy up Smitswinkel and had a good chat, I take my hat off to these chaps, I lost him going up Chappies, but he caught me at Suikerbossie and helped me get to the top.
  22. Thanks for all the info, and well done to yourself.
  23. Thanks, I guess I'll have to do a few more road races Will be good to learn the road racing techniques.

I found this as well, the Songo guys in white kit on MTB's as well as a bunch of guys in green kit that caused an accident going into Simonstown. They where all over the place.
  25. So, I can assume that yesterdays race will put me into a better seeding for next year?
