Don't get me wrong, as in my earlier post I said they make good bikes( although over priced) and great products but I personally think they had a brain fart regarding this.

The point is it was a stupid thing to do. They had nothing to protect in the first place. Due to social media, this will bite them in the bum, just from the comments in this thread alone there must be 4/5 people that hate them right now and have publicly declared they will not buy there products. Which part are you missing?

The right thing for Spez to do would be for them to give this bike shop an agency to sell there bikes

I've also been getting pains in my fingers when hitting the downhills, not sure if I'm clinging on for dear life too hard. I could imagine that this would what someone with arthritis might feel like, it's only after the downhills though.

Hi all, Just to add to my already mounting issues . I've got knee injury currently even after going for a proper bike setup since buying the road bike which I'm going back to today to get sorted out. To get to the issue at hand, or should I say finger, I've now noticed that at the joint on my baby finger(in between the knuckle and palm) I have developed a ganglion cyst or bible bump as it's also commonly known, this has only happened in the past few weeks. It gives no hassles, is not painful unless pressed on and is about 3/4mm in diameter. Just trying to find out from the Hub doctors if anyone else has had this happen from MTBing and what they did about it? Many Thanks

I'm thinking the same thing, as much as I would love to have the other, i need to be realistic. I was chatting to someone yesterday that may be able to get me a Santa Cruz at a great price, so will wait until Monday for this. Otherwise the Trance seems to be the way to go, with a new wheelset and dropper post as add ons, I can still come in at under R30K with change for a couple other upgrades -ie brakes & crankset.

I wanna try the bigger wheels(follow the herd, lol), see what all the hype is about. I've been wanting to go the 650b route for a couple years now, so this seems to be the right time.

Good point, it's your bike and you should be happy at the end of the day. Good for BBT to sort this out to keep your riding, but in the mean time, why can't they make a plan to get another one and get it sprayed. Yes, they have come to the party in sorting this out, but like cars, spare parts are usually kept neutral and then sprayed before being put onto a car, that will be any part. As others have also pointed out, not sure what the T&C say about part replacement. With regard to the comment that the principles have said that things should be done this way, who is to say they are always right? PS. I do like the look of the black over the green, for me it looks better.

I can't seem to find anywhere that the tells me what the Cruzez come with in terms of specs in SA, or is it rather custom built to the frame? What I did find on the overseas sites as a fully built bike, little needs to be upgraded anyway.
