  1. That's old news, and very real. I read a story a few years ago about this in the Daily News in Durbs.
  2. They have tried that in Durban and it descended into anarchy & chaos, the cops folded and gave them back. Nothing will change as long as the cANCer is in charge.
  3. You need to get one of these at the rate you're going.
  4. After this evening storm in Jozi, at Lanseria Airport.
  5. You'll be rolling under a bus at that rate
  6. Why should you have to give way to a motorbike. As for lane splitting I do it only when cars are stationary.
  7. Which needs to be regulated and people be held accountable. Speedy recovery to the injured cyclist Wishing you all the best
  8. No 5% handling fee then.
  9. Awesome, that was nice of them. Was eyeing out that frame the other day on Wongfu, is that where it is from? I'm sure you will be very happy
  10. Agreed In saying that, sometimes people make mistakes, I'm pretty darn sure we all do this from time to time. It then boils down to how it is dealt with upon taking the parts back. Lets take my issue for example, I bought a pair of shoes, which I thought were the correct size when fitting them at the shop, they were in fact a size wider then what I would normally wear, so they should have been good to go, the shop assistant says they were good to go, so I paid and off I went. Then when out riding, they were cramping my feet badly, even though I was wearing sock that were thinner then what I used in the shops when trying them on. So I went back, and they exchanged them for me, even though I had worn them twice, and left a small scuff mark on them( getting used to the road bike geometry) I had to pay in to get a new pair, which I thought was fair as they were now going to sell the shoes as 2nd hand, if it wasn't for the scuff mark they would have swopped them outright. So, at the end of the day, they shop did me a massive favour, and they now have a customer for life, hell I even sent them shed loads of business on the basis of how they handled the situation. I have to drive far just to go to them even though I have three bike shops within a 15km radius of me.
  11. Does everyone not ask for discount/ haggle at the end of the day? Whether it be insurance, buying from suppliers, bank charges, car dealers, bulk orders etc. Everyone wants a better deal/ price. I get asked it daily, sometimes its a yes, sometimes a no. Now don't get me wrong, some instances call for it, some don't. So correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that business?
  12. or Milk
  13. They almost caught me out on Sunday as well, that poor persons house has the road in his back door.
  14. Why not, not for a packet of Marie Biscuits though, but why not ask if they will match someone else's price or hell even better it. Douchenozzle comment bro
  15. One day I will ride this, its a bodyboarders heaven
  16. That could be New Pier on a very good day
  17. Yip, I've felt the pain of that reef many times, awesome wave though. I can't wait to ride when I'm back in Durbs for Xmas. Are you mates with Gigs Cilliers, if so what a legend
  18. When living in London, Friday nights we used to drink between 8-10 pints of wife beater then cycle home along the cycle path, used to be steaming when I got home and normally was asleep by 8pm, then wake up and go for a ride in the morning. Miss those days. Generally I'm not such a big drinker, but it's the festive season and getting in plenty of practice for Xmas - My body is a temple
  19. Not sure, I just now, I keep tabs of rounds and drinks for some reason, always have. Felt a little hungover, nothing an early morning swim in sea didn't sort out, then sweated all the rest out during the ride. I reckon I had more double vodkas though, free VIP bar at the Fun Loving Criminals night
  20. This past Sat night, I drank 8 beers, 4 jagermeisters, 4 Tequilas, and 8 Double Vodka and cokes. Drank two litres of water before bed and went for a 75km road ride out to Hout Bay and back, felt right as rain. I also ate loads that night though, The Diaz Tavern sure makes a great steak. It's all down to conditioning, my body is a temple
  21. Bwah ha ha, more like over a few beers and strippers.
