I have recently developed an injury that I can only put down to MTBing, both the muscles/ tendons in my forearms are giving me problems near to my elbow. The injury is more painful in the right forearm, but in the same spot on the left forearm. I get a burning sensation in my right forearm, and it's even painful just lifting a coffee mug. This is really starting to get me down The injury has kept me off the bike for almost three weeks now, and does not appear to be getting much better. I was advised rest/ ice via a telephone call to the physio that did my bike set-up recently. The problem does not seem to be getting any better though, even after 3 weeks , so I would like to go see someone, problem is who? How do I now if I need to see either a Physio or Biokineticist? Which of the two is a better to see? Could anyone recommend a person to see on the West Coast(Milnerton/ Woodbridge area) or possibly in Jozi(Northcliff area) Many Thanks.

Jeepers, please can I ask you send me a PM with your insurers details. I was looking into this yesterday. My bike is comprehensively insured. Included are my shoes, Garmin, Thule Euroway, Prescription Sunnies and its costing me R379/month. It is through Cyclesure.

Sorry to hear of your dilemma. I think that there are going to be a quite a few cases of this, and I bet the 2nd hand market will come under major scrutiny as well. I would hate to think how many fake bikes are out there without people having so much as a clue.

So without the need for a flame suit, if an unbranded "chinese" bike looks like a particular original branded bike, lets say a Dogma, then is it a fake/counterfeit?

I had the same decision to make between the same bikes, I went with the Trance as it was more bang for your buck and with upgrades came in just over 30K. I test rode both bikes and preferred the feel of the Trance. I also prefered the 650B wheel size then the 29er. The Trance also does climb very well, and with suspension open to descend mode on the Fox it handles the downhills with ease. I feel more confident on this bike then I did my 26er Trance. Your best bet is to take them both out for a test ride. Good Luck.

This was a rather unfortunate accident and my I feel terrible for the loss of life, but I don't think that you can blame any of the trail owners though. Mountain biking is an extreme sport and with that comes certain risks and dangers, we all know this when we climb aboard our trusty steeds. An accident can occur in even the most stupid of instances, I just hope that they don't set about trying to dumb down the trails because of this tragic incident. I stand to be corrected but I think that a white memorial bike is being erected in remembrance of this rider at the bridge where the incident took place.

I have a question, why would you have a brand new 40K frame resprayed? Surely that will make any warranty null & void.
