Thank you to Wannabe who posted his thoughts on CTC last week if I recall - I eventually decided to take my bike in for a service based on his comment and WOW!! Excellent service at a fraction of what it usually costs. Big shout out to Marc at CTC for the excellent service. Keep up the good work!

You cannot compare the price of a "Soccer World Cup" or a "Concernt at Grand West" ticket - Those are international events where most of the stage, artist, band and equipment is shipped along to the respective countries. Most of the MTB events are in our back yards firstly, and secondly, when you pay and they state that you get water along the way, which in most cases is warm and in a lot of cases, the back riders are not even getting water to say the least, well thats where is starts getting over priced. I dont think that anyone will mind paying for the events if you get what you pay for.

VT-2, provide them with a quote to get the next level up or one with similar specs - that way they will see that bikes values have gone up and they should proivde you with the full amount insured for should you not be able to get that bike again. Insurers generally try to give you back what you had - so if you had upgrades, that would not be included unless you specifically add it to your insurers by providing a bike spec document. if not available anymore, then they replace with something similar.
