  1. My Fiance is from Swellendam and they pretty much know all the places and people who own these places. Roosje van de kaap was always known to be one of THE BEST bed & breakfast in town and had an amazing restaurant, but as mentioned, was recently taken over by new owners. We understand that the restaurant area is not that hygenic and back then, if you wanted to treat your family, this establishment was the place to go. The previous owners would also do effort to accompany requests from guests, now, it is not even considered. There are plenty of other nice places where people can stay for a nominal rate and enjoy the hospitality of the firendly people in this town.
  2. Hi Guys I had the same thing happen to my fiancee wheel. It was basically a new bike, probably 150km max done on it also had leaks at the rim join. Johan, not sure if the spoke tension on wheel was not correctly done initially. I did not redo the tape, but simply pumped the wheel so hard to force the stans into the leaking area and the next day it leaked. Did a three day race that same week and had no problems with the wheel.
  3. No they are not part of the healthy foods that you can get vitality points for at Pick n Pay, but if you use your discovery Credit card to purchase those products, you will get money back based on partner store purchases.
  4. What Ive used in a small length of old tyre liners, glue that to the inside. Once that it dried, I put glue inside the slit from the outside and glue the tyre together. Generally helps.
  5. I agree Wannabe - set up a few riders with a group waiting below and above them. In that case, we would be able to attack from all over and beat the living daylights out of this individual!the question is...who will take one for the team
  6. It is in January

  10. Thank you to Wannabe who posted his thoughts on CTC last week if I recall - I eventually decided to take my bike in for a service based on his comment and WOW!! Excellent service at a fraction of what it usually costs. Big shout out to Marc at CTC for the excellent service. Keep up the good work!
  11. I have used them before and I had really great service from them!!I agree with Try_Hard - "Job well done keep up the good work"
  12. Why dont you call them...they are located in the Strand if I am not mistaken.
  13. You cannot compare the price of a "Soccer World Cup" or a "Concernt at Grand West" ticket - Those are international events where most of the stage, artist, band and equipment is shipped along to the respective countries. Most of the MTB events are in our back yards firstly, and secondly, when you pay and they state that you get water along the way, which in most cases is warm and in a lot of cases, the back riders are not even getting water to say the least, well thats where is starts getting over priced. I dont think that anyone will mind paying for the events if you get what you pay for.
  14. VT-2, provide them with a quote to get the next level up or one with similar specs - that way they will see that bikes values have gone up and they should proivde you with the full amount insured for should you not be able to get that bike again. Insurers generally try to give you back what you had - so if you had upgrades, that would not be included unless you specifically add it to your insurers by providing a bike spec document. if not available anymore, then they replace with something similar.
  15. Yes, I agree, howcome your prices are in dollars?
  16. sh*t! With an entry fee like this, the medal would have to be made of gold! Freakin rip-offs!
  17. Why is the survey linked to University of Stellenbosch?
  18. RIP Sunley! May the Lord be with your family during this time of sadness and heart ache.
  19. What is this?
