  1. Is the inside leg from the bottom of the ummm..."tjommals" straight down to the ground or don the side of the leg to the ground?
  2. Ride harder with the mtb - there are plenty of guys in the starting groups with mtbs that finish with the front guys on road bikes.
  3. Entered...60km of nice riding coming up! Hopefully the weather holds then, otherwise there might be some nice mud
  4. Also looking for the results...and my buff
  5. I think a single, centralized and reasonable annual should be applicable if at all possible. There are too many separate annual fees payable in a radius of 50km from Durbanville. I very seldom ride any of these routes and I live in Durbanville. Open district roads together with some tar allows for endurance riding, otherwise Majik does the trick for some single track. Alternatively, I pay to ride the odd race to see some other tracks. I agree with all - trespassing is not correct and I don't encourage it. If I could pay a more reasonable annual license fee (consolidated that is), it would encourage me to pay it every year, meaning I am becoming a frequented member (or payee) therefore contributing to a more stable source of revenue to maintain our tracks. One should not see or target weekend warriors who can simply not afford the time to ride in the week (making multiple annual fees unattractive) as part of a major fee generating population.
  6. I ride with First accent - costs me R800. Don't need to ride with Italian or Assos as they definitely not that much more comfortable. I am an endurance rider and it probably takes me 5 to 8 long rides to get accustomed to a new bib.
  7. I had one of their bibs - felt like part of my body it was so comfortable. Just a pity its so epensive. Highly recommend them.
  8. Thanks for the help guys, appreciated!
  9. Anyone know where I can have my rear wheel hub serviced (Crest 29er)? Is there someone who is an agent in CPT area (preferably Northern Suburbs) that readily has the spares available? Thanks
  10. It seems that the judges and attorneys in this country have no sense for the value of a life - may all those defending these type of idiots suffer the same pains and losses!
  11. I would not use superglue, but rather pull the tyres to open the cut and put some black silicone into the hole, should last for a long time.
  12. Probably R500 per person and not per pic, but even that is still freakin expensive! I can get my own photographer to do that and edit the pictures for less!Rip-off if you ask me.
  13. What is the facebook page?? I cant find it in FB when i search for it and when I click on the "join our facebook page" link on their website, it does nothing but take me to my home page.... So now I cant see when the night rides are happening
  14. Maybe its registered post for a fine...
  15. Give me the number plate number and I'll see what I can do - A few scratches and dents should be enough to remind him that he needs to obey the law!
  16. @ chris_w_65 Not sure if one can make it to gold status with just the two tests. I think one would also have to complete some of the online tests too. Ask Tankman, he will be able to answer that.
  17. I agree with bosb4k...I also received less points than indicated by the point table from Discovery.
  18. Are you sure the disc is centred properly and that the disc brake housing connect to the fram is not loose?
  19. Dont need a fund that offers a reward... Only ten strong guys to give the little bugger the biggest hiding he will ever receive in his life, pehaps a hiding is to light...maybe a beating and then hand him over to the police. He needs something to remember why he must not return to Majik Forest. That should be reward enough to those who do find him.
  20. Sorry Stev0, I was working off the cellphone and the msg was getting extremely long, but I see the rest of the guys and gals have given you more than enough further information. 1. Check correct bike setup. 2. Gloves with pads at the bottom covering the fleshy part of the hand. 3. Additional tape on bar ends - I did this as well and works wonders. (Thanks tombeej) 4. Swapping hand positions. (Thanks tombeej) These basic points should help you.
  21. If you do hav pins and needles inyour hands, especially with side bars, you are rpone to grip too tightly and lean on the nerve that passes in side/bottom of the hand causing the issue. If the problem does not go away i.e.e you have pins and needles for three or more days, do not be concerned as it usually takes two weeks to recover. Same issue for guys doing rides like the epic when they complain that they cannot get a hard on. Its due to cutting off the nerve for a prolonged period of time, but will recover.
  22. Whats up with the amarider website being down for such a longtime ??? Does not bode well!
  23. is the 11-36 not meant as a 10 speed cassette?
