  1. There’s gonna come a time where they’ll be more ebikes the normal Bikes this year at the Cape August they were 16% with the growth rate, the year before it was 12%. so this growth rate within five years you looking at 35 to 40% ebikes! I think Ebike should be given preference as a lot of people that will never be able to ride. and enjoy the races. They not looking for party them finishes I just enjoying the rod and that’s what it’s about it’s about riding.
  2. Had bad service from Garmin, big attitude to deal with.. never the less product is good. I think Apple offering, the next new 2023 Apple watch will make most sports watches close to redundant.
  3. I would go for the Speclized Epci Pro 2021 if you can get out hands on one as it's as light as the Sworks 2020 which was very light. Or a built bike like the I noted on the hub -Rocky instinct 970 MSL that is full Xt 1-12, fox shocks all for R45 K that's can be set up to ride XC or Trail with RIDE-9 and is in great Condtion. These are things you should look for. If I did not have my bike I would buy that in a flash and save a cool 40 k!
  4. Crime in Europe was minimal about 35 years ago. London was as safe as it gets. But then “us fellows” from this continent and other interesting places start to arive in droves and borough with them doctors and scientists and a lot of other types who steal and murder. Poverty is no excuses for violent crime - There is minimal violent crime in India and China. It's relatively safe there. South African leaders have condoned violent crime and have not responded responsibly- so good tax paying citerziens die every day in SA. The crime stats are so high in SA police station heads have to sencor the numbers or they find them self in remote posts!
  5. ENDURO SEAL - stuff works well and it’s great company
  6. Yes R300 for one tyre not two ! Boom
  7. :- Yes it’s easy to change a tyre- but possibly the chaps on holiday does not have access to slime and happy to pay what he gets billed in say Pretoria or where ever the usual fee is give or take about R60-R150 per tire -but to get ripped off for one tyre R300- I to would be unhappy. Let’s presume he’s good with his head and hands - he’s a expert consultant for Sars’s or Securtiy mercenary manager or thoracic surgeon - or all three - simply because he’s on holiday and is happy to pay does not give a store the right to over charge. Overcharging on the small things will aggravate a customer, so when they come into buy a bike for 100 K they will already know the store is going to rip them off and go else’s where -give good service, fair charges and take care of the people in a professional way then everyone wins. It’s not rocket ???? science.
  8. Johnnie Koen Cycles - Mosselbay I heard only good things and I had a 2 bike service last week and he went out of his way to give him extra good service. He was extremely honest he deserves a great callout congratulations! Others should follow!
  9. Heard a shocker of a story at dinner tonight by chap, who had horrible experience in Plet LBS. I will try get facts on group ride tomorrow. How many bikes stores in Plettenberg Bay ? It seems to be a rather big issue. Trying to make more money yet bike stores are doing well over Covert 19. Possibly try to cover when C19 is gone... lol.
  10. Some of the coastal stores not all
  11. Yes go to Ride Life - The chap is excellent he went out of his way in George
  12. Some of us have received excellent service from coastal bike stores but some not so! Why the difference?
  13. 1) costs seem high due to poor governance in SA rand like Zim toilet paper. 2) Ride a 2019-2020 Epic S-works and any non believers will be eating there words. The Brian is dream technology. 3) How different is a Sworks to other top end bikes only you can understand that if you ride both - the sworks is such a leap and jump forward it’s kind of like a unfair advantage. 4)If you ever seen the Sworks build stripped done it’s immediately evident to the fine detail that goes into making this a super fast race machine. Small things eg - Like threaded brass insets and titanium screws and bolts Ect.
