  1. Looks good and decent pricing? Probably not then.
  2. That looks ready to paaaaaaar-tay
  3. The irony is I have just bought a nice frame that is perfect for this kind of enduro and now I don't have enough cash this month to enter the kind of enduro this frame is perfect for. #idiot.
  4. Zee germans have arrived at Merida with Bauhaus from Sunweb and the Gorilla's lead out man Sieberg from Lotto.
  5. Indeed. That said it worked for Vitus.
  6. I'm guessing it's a bargaining chip but you never know. CR has a habit of being right more often than not and I'm guessing Froome is wanting to go full gas for Le Tour after this year leaving Sky with a new puzzle. Defending champ vs sole focused 4 x winner? Both will want the team behind them and it's a very different equation than this year for Sir Dave B to juggle. Maybe Geraint has unfinished business at the Giro and is chilled about the Tour for 2019.
  7. Oh, now that is a big rumor.
  8. Wyss official announced for DD after 11 years with BMC. Guatier to Vital and Duchesne resigns with FDJ.
  9. For all CT bros. I was in Canal Walk on the weekend and they have 30% off their Proframe helmets. R3999 full price makes it about R2.7k after the discount and is on for about a week.
  10. There are some amazing trails around that area. I've had the honour of being taken on a couple of rides by some land owners who are more interested in downs than distance. Please look at some trails that are more focused and on enduro / am than just pumping distance. More 20km with 900+ To 1400 ascent / descent / distance would be awesome. The terrain in that dolhof area has some serious chutes on the left ridge. Since black closed i'm left scratching my head about the under utilization of the awesomeness there. Imagine a route from the top of the pass down. So good.
  11. I'd like to know what the game plan is for DD. If you look at Mitchelton-Scott they had a clear goal to move from a stage team to a GC team and have been pretty clear with that. I'm not sure DD are sure looking at their current team, signings and anonymity in lot of racing this year. Hope the injury rate will be less and we can see what the team can do in 2019. They've won 1 stage of the Dubai Tour, 1 stage of Tour of the Alps, 1 stage tour of Norway this year.
  12. Just called them, cancelled. Shame.
  13. Is this sold out or past the entry date? Update: Cancelled.
  14. Good signing. Hopefully he'll buck the history of riders leaving Astana and he'll still be good a champ' at a new team.
  15. Shame, that would have been a different kind of move to pick up a very hot property.
  16. Woah. Well that is one way to get a rider and nail all the circling sharks (well at least for a year). Well done Aqua Blue Wout Van Aert is yours for 2019. After buying the holding company that owns his current Willems-Crelan team Aqua Blue get all assets inc riders contracts. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/van-aert-to-ride-for-aqua-blue-sport-as-irish-team-acquires-verandas-willems/
  17. Ahhh. Fat shaming my bike. Got it.
  18. Ha, ha, ha. That will keep popping into my mind this weekend when I'm building up my Following. Edit: I've been trying to work it out. What is Saddles bag fat and what does it look like? and don't say it's like an evil head tube. I'm scared to google it.
  19. You're right. I've got that feeling with every Knolly. This is probably the closest to one that looks buyable and I'm intrigued by the different height chain stays and all that weird thickness on the down tube and shock mounting.
  20. Yup, as I said the predictions are a little out of date as it was written back in March and you'd be buying lotto tickets if you were nailing prediction on the head from back then. It was more as a guide of who is out of contract at the end of the year. Funny how things have worked out looking back on it all.
  21. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/transfer-mechanics-the-lay-of-the-land-in-2018/ this has a good coverage of who's fishing, some is a little out of date now. It's quite a quiet year for the stars with most GC riders having sorted contracts last year and the likes of Thomas, Yates etc pretty much staying where they are. Will be interesting to see what happens in the Sprinters world with Griepel, Ewan, Cav, Demare, LaPorte, Bouhanni, EBH and Ben Swift all free. I think DD would keep Cav' with his Sponsor connections, having invested in the train and their pretty average season this year and not like anyone else has been getting to the top step for them. If he stays upright he'll get you wins. Maybe send him to the Giro and Vuelta in 2019 as we've seen average fields recently and he could clean up nicely. The tour is going to be stacked next year with Gaviria returning, Ewan debut, Kittel trying to come back, Demare being french, Nacer with what ever he is doing, Sagan and the rest. http://www.cyclingfever.com/transfers.html alway seems to be pretty correct with it's rumors.
  22. The Wild cards were released back in April and Aqua Blue's owner went on a rant. It's Cofidis / Burgos / Euskadi / Caja. Gotta keep it local and Cofidis (as they are a major Sponsor). As for Cav'. Another lead out to be build, tuned and misfired before it's 100% and no offense to Aqua Blue riders you're not looking at a powerhouse team with gnarled racers. I think Cav' still has a good number of wins in him at top level but he's stated it takes months of racing to get that lead tuned and the mindset to take control of a peloton in the last part of a race. He's got wins in him, but not years to mess about. Not crashing should also help. He should hit the track again this winter and build from there. It worked nicely for him before. Not in terms of just the fitness but the anticipation, guile and surfing around / off riders. Did wonders for him at the tour a few years back. But that was a few years back.
  23. See, bitching on twitter about costing results by being a manufactures guinea pig works!
