  1. i have a couple cool dvds from them. what was the title of this one and whom presents the dvd if you dont mind me asking. (all in good cheer)
  2. haha and this whole thread went to the dogs.... i have realized, forcing religion down someones throat doesnt make them more willing to accept/respect anothers religion. chatted to another friend this morning, he also mentioned 2 topics he keeps to himself.. religion and politics. i have seen on numerous forums, people whom is lus to blow off a bit of steam, pull the religion of politics card and then the thing gets at a ridiculous fuming point until some1 throws in the towel or a moderator steps in and kills the topic. most cycling magazines are just adds.. like most car magazines.. if the religious magazines didnt sell, then its their right to take them of the shelves, if the people want to buy the magazines and feel the need for it, they will also order them online.. simple as that, also mentioned somewhere.. people complain for the sake of complaining.. heed peoples "wants' and we will find something else to complain about. so before we stuff up this day with religious warfare , look at the bright side.. (we can look for it together )
  3. [quote name='SURFER' date='17 October 2010 - 07:59 PM' timestamp='1287338388' If it works like a bomb, then I believe it is more than just cracked haha what does this mean? anyhoo, the clearcoat seems like its got a ledge on it where the bolts fasten the steer tube, hence the reason for asking if there is an easy way in knowing tx JB, i will inspect it closer and see where the rabbit hole leads to. i have no reason to sell the thing because i like it thus i want to make sure i dont end up in the hospital by mere ignorance. tx for the replies c")
  4. hehe i have a pic of the stem, but my camera isnt of decent quality to take tht kind of detail about 2yrs old
  5. eish postnasal drip and then from there it goes onto upper respiratory infections. when i stopped eating peanuts and other kinds of nuts(the kind that grow on trees and not humans.. before you guys get smart) my alergies were about 70% better.
  6. i freakin love peanut butter.. although i have found out i am alergic to the stuff.. what are the odds hey!
  7. interesting topic, and ja its crap getting jacked ;( lost my nice mountainbike which i spent my last pennys on each month building it up. 3rd outride 3 thugs took if from me with knives ;( was long ago.. but im still scared when i see more than 1 guy in the middle of nowhere.(even riding in a group). hope this kind of nonsens get the attention it deserves.
  8. hi Guys i have a carbon stem. it works like a bomb. but i am not sure if it is cracked at the holes where the stem is fastened to the steerer tube. how would i know if it is the clear coating(or resin) which is flaking or if the stem is cracked through there? do i need to take it for exrays? or somethin. experts please advise. tx
  9. crack you seem very confused today LOL perhaps the sleepy weather is catchin up to you
  10. LOL the financial problems, all the questions we have on suppliments and comparing stuff that might be placebo's etc. dont worry im in the same boat.. hence my initial Question.
  11. thts where the problems start.. just that extra edge, a bit more umph.. and then we spend alot of bucks ;( sick sad world we livin in
  12. i also had good results from it, stronger-quicker type of results. only took creatine after workouts, rides on the bike. but the powder tht doesnt dissolve bothers me a bit.. im sure tht stuff goes and sits in the kidneys doing more harm than good. but like the others mention.. good diet.. problem is.. dieting is a pain in the arse to be honest. being a single guy, having alot of fresh stuff in the fridge is costly because the stuff goes off quick quick. and at work i cannot conjure up these great balanced meals because of time constraints. and i dont want to spend more time in the kitchen than on the bike. i know there are simplistic meals you can fix, but they get boring after a couple of weeks and tastes like crap after a while. thus the relatively balanced diet and supplementation... but there are always pros and cons.. was just curious on the cons of creatine
  13. LOL nasty thought!!
  14. i feel the same way... however we are impatient creatures and try to speed up the gains.
  15. ive also heard of friend from the gymming scene with backne and skin issues when they used creatine.
  16. the internet says creating isnt bad for you... but states you need to drink alot of extra water when taking creatine. alot of people says that creatine puts strain on ur kidneys... thus i am not 100% certain what is right and what is wrong. can creatine make your immune system weaker? does it tax your immune system, can it be an alergen? iow can your body be alergic to creatine supplimentation. (the body prouduces natural creatine --> thus im not sure about the details). how do you guys feel about the topic?
  17. Alergies were mentioned a couple of places... i also suffer from getting sick often (allergies). if i sort out my diet and the bugs and alergens in the air causes upper respiratory infection.. and then the writing is on the wall for me. not fun, im gonna check out a couple of ideas here good post. btw.. i also think you are not including enough rest days (original poster). and could be overtraining.(ive learnt that lesson enough times).
  18. go to a petrol station and use the compressors... maybe put some "solvent" based liquid like carb cleaner or parifin in there to get the gunk loose.. not sure if flamable solvent+compressed air would make an explosion, take camera with c")
  19. ive got the X-0 grip shifts. they work well, but without gloves and persisting rain its hard to shift gears upwards.. bloody hand slips and then it feels like you are going to tear flesh from ur hands at some point trying and then u just give up and keep it in the same gear and carry on ;-)
  20. this stuff is too technical.. its such a gamble ordering from overseas, costs, guarantee that its actually going to get to you. ive had too many things stolen from my international orders to make me not lus for the struggle. (none of them CRC orders)
  21. im also a armgat... would also use 2 fat cable ties and some duct tape and make the sucker stick... or 2 stainless/galvanised hose clamps and tighten it well. you guys are too fancy for me ;-)
  22. first thing u need to do is determine what width seat u need... i learnt this the hard way.. i also had the racex seat on my ralleigh.. and the thing killed my butt... only to find out i require aseat thts 14#mm wide, and the racex is 130. bike shops have a seat cushion u sit on to determine if u have child bearing hips like me ;-) when u know the size of saddle, then u look at the options in tht lineup. i have since changed tht seat for a 143 selle italia flite gel and i can spend the whole day on the bike without thinkin of being at prison.(sore ass)
  23. looking at the coil charts for the recon u-turn model.. i only see coils made for very skinny ppl ;-( Recon U-Turn 140-160 lbs (63-72 kg) 160-180 lbs (72-82 kg) >180 lbs (82 kg) -- > i weigh 85kg's... i wonder which weighted coil is std in the bike? (140-160 lbs (63-72 kg)) ??
