  2. Want to say thanks to Mike Watson and Ian. Two guys who helped me out after being mugged at knife point by 3 guys. Help me recover some of my clothing items that the thieves dropped during the quick "escape" Bike, phone and watch all gone though. Went back later with a group to search the mountain for other items they dropped and if they hid my bike. Managed to find my helmet. But thats it. Please keep an eye out for this bike

  4. Thanks, for whatever reason the local supplier website was so far down the search list on google but found them.
  5. Hello hubbers Need some help I need to replace my Battery Cover on my 4iiii left sided crank arm power meter. Cant find any local suppliers and to import one is going to cost a lot for a piece of plastic. Does anyone know of a local source OR a hack
  6. thanks, i will have a look at this option Edit: I see the paid version allows for power meter and its cheaper than Cadence. Thanks for this info
  7. Hi So long story short, my garmin is busted and i dont want to rush into a new device purchase without doing sufficient reading - don't exactly have free money laying around I want to use my cellphone as an interim solution and scanning around for training apps that can connect to power meters. Most of the free stuff will work with HR but I am a data geek and been training with power for a while now and almost feel like i cant ride without it. Came across this app Cadence - Run and Bike Tracker App for iPhone and Android (getcadence.app) They have 3 different packages. - Free - no better than anything else on the market (cant train with Power) - Pro - R52 a month or R350 pa (can train with power) - Elite - R105 a month or R700 pa. The Pro option is fairly cheap and wouldn't mind spending 2 cups of coffee a month for a interim solution. My question to the hub is, has anyone ever tried this out?
  8. Does anyone know if there will be a 60miler option for the 2023 event? ngl, last years 100miler was off putting but keen to try the shorter route
  9. Baby bum cream 🙂 But only if i am doing lots of saddle time over a couple of days
  10. Would be interesting if they expanded the route to the broader Western Cape
  11. Im a believer in #GCKUSS
  12. I dont have the answers you looking for. This is my first time doing this specific event and route. The only reason I avoid trailseekers is because its over subscribed and has too many sections where routes are shared with "kids and family" riders. I entered this event because of they had the two separate days. Lets just hope they did a brilliant job on the route planning
  13. I think hosting events over September should be question in future. Events in September should rather be moved to November and December
  14. call me a grumpy old man but my biggest annoyance to this is sharing a trail with the kids and family riders.....Banhoek trailseekers all over again😒
  15. is this a Gravel race or mixed terrain race?
  16. what happen to Mvdp and Sagan?
  17. Genuine question, why so much hate for Remco You were all young once
  18. I would like to see Remco win this one
  19. never said Sanparks to build the trails but they are the gatekeepers
  20. back to the topic I am hoping that SANPARKS was on board with this. Would be cool to see some new trail development over the next few years all over table mountain. Some multi level routes that goes around the mountain without touching tar.
  21. Yes. I refuse to use anything made by USN for this reason. In defense of USN, not all their products are made in the same lab. Their Blue Lab whey protein products are tested for Harmful and any products that are banned.
  22. I would like Pogs to take it
  23. SRAM has advanced far beyond what Shimano is currently producing for high end MTB market. BUT Shimano is far from dead. I am of the opinion Shimano is still the go to for MTB groupsets in the mid to low tier. 12 speed XTR, XT, SLX and Deore are way more affordable AND i would argue easier to maintain with affordable parts (chains and cassettes).
  24. how is Mas, Pinot or even Landa on this list🤔 Something wrong with this script
