  1. Honestly this race has my favorite medal and I would gladly pay R20 for it. Most other races can keep their medals, or give me a craft beer thanks.
  2. It is Garmin workouts on my side, and I have already reached my goal so no rush to get the points. So hopefully it is part of this other outage. If I don`t see it by next week I will give them a call. Not in the mood to fight with someone over the phone on a Friday .
  3. Yeah nothing yet for yesterday or today. The app was also down this morning around 6 am. Might be related.
  4. I commented on this other thread (https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/184193-2017-s-works-enduro-scam/), but to keep keep you updated I am adding it here as well. When following a link that was removed, no error message is displayed, just goes to the homepage.
  5. Bought my chip for 947 and picked up at Amashova earlier that year. Just ask Racetec directly to confirm.
  6. A guy on a whatsapp group I am in posted that he won the bike, lucky bugger. Also got the sms for my coffee last week I think.
  7. Just a heads up, I had to log in once for classifieds and once for the forums. It was not the same passwords, so I did the password reset on the classifieds account as it was not my previous password. Everything working again now once I am logged into both sides.
  8. Hi guys, I currently have a Raleigh Eldorado MTB. Specs are kinda impressive with 26" wheels, v-brakes and I think about 60-80mm travel coil spring, and no tubeless yet. I do not ride MTB that much, so that has been good enough so far, but I got stranded with a puncture one too many times, so looking to upgrade. As Tubeless will cost more than the bike. Now a great option I have seen is the Avalanche Reflex 93er Pro. This has 1x12, Air Spring up front, 29er meaning easier to get proper tyres, and Hydro disk brakes. And it is suspiciously cheap at R8000 retail. Is this a good for a occasional MTB rider in Gauteng? Link for specs : https://avalanchebicycles.co.za/mountain-bikes-2020/ PS. other recommendations in that price range can also help.
  9. This type of team I would gladly join. Hub team all finishing together. Most likely a couple of other teams just there to finish,
  10. Ditto, mine is up too. My lazy week has been justified. Will get on points again Saturday.
  11. Not yet, but I have 800 points in total from the mtb ride .
  12. Loving this tool so far, looks like I can do one more session before 947 and still be fresh, looking at the twitter ride. Will be using this much more now that I have a power meter on most rides. Also can clearly see went waaaay too hard, and got sick just after, so we learn.
  13. Not sure, but some seriously suspicious prices. About us section quite interesting: https://technify.co.za/pages/about-us
  14. My grandpa gave me the advise that I should always read the manual, you do not have to follow it all the time, but be sure to at least read it.
  15. If you are taking applications for closed beta, please sign me up as well. Getting rid of this stupid tan line on my wrist would be perfect.
  16. O yeah forgot it is silly season for them currently, will then have a nice surprise on Wednesday worst case. Edit: Nevermind, just got the sms. EL for my date with Tom Jenkins,
  17. Any idea when the seeding will be out? Think number collection starts this Wednesday?
  18. This part specifically would help a ton. I do not want alerts for all the MTB adds, but a certain size and price range etc. Perfect.
  19. Awesome thanks, that is exactly what I was trying to do. Great tool by the way,
  20. For those without the mail :http://eventcomms.primedia.co.za/pdf/view/discovery-947-ride-joburg Also starting in G 06:41
  21. Hi David, So I forgot my Wahoo at home for a ride and had to record it using my phone and Garmin. My Garmin does not have power data and my phone did not record the entire ride. So what I did was to set the phone recording to private on Strava, both came through to your site as expected. I then set the "load" to 0 on the ride with the power. Will this then correctly use the Garmin HR data only for the fitness graph? Only using the partial ride with power for reference, eg max efforts etc?
  22. Not sure if it is just mine that is broken, but it still says: Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge 2018
  23. I still want revenge on Tom Jenkins after I had to walk it last year, was considering doing the short one just for the climb, guess I will have to do the long one now.
  24. Check this page while logged into the profile you need points on. It will list everything you have already done and what can still be done. https://www.discovery.co.za/vitality/track-and-earn-points
  25. The only thing you will get is more discount with Healthy Gear, but if you are planning to use that, it might be better to do the test at the start of the year.
