  2. Well I see Jabberwocks have just hit CP19 at 03h00..they have a downhill run to TA4 of about 3kays ..I think after 80 odd kays through the NZ countryside they gonna feel it...that 05h00 time is spot on...
  3. Well thats a good thing then...I think trudging through snow must be hectic...OK..I just did a Google earth path measurement and it says 6.32k to the TA 4 and according to the elevation it shows downhill from their present point...so hope they make good time and get in a good few hours sleep
  4. Thanks Dave...AND I see now that mini tiger line has turned into a correction..so a tad off course there as it were...BUT..back on track...I wonder if there is snow on them mountains...
  5. OH BOY!!!...@ dave303e...Jip that wobble got me in a wobble...I HOPE Craig was NOT irritating Cobus with his talking ...hehehe...I did send him a message before they left to leave Cobus alone as he will be VERY busy DEEP in his maps...hehe.. BUT now I see Cobus is almost taking a mini tiger line to that TA 4...I really hpe they can get there by , say 05h00 and have at least a 2 hour nap before the window to the river opens at 07h15...coz tomorrow is the last day to go on the river then it closes and all other teams will be short coursed...
  6. Oh and did I mention...trail running gear is really lekker too... Pic is one of coastal trails...
  7. Nice thread...I love riding my MTB and especially single track..takes me back to my youth and dirt bike days....2017 Feb my son and nephew get me involved in adventure racing and then this trail running thing...NOW...I absolutely HATE running ...especially these tar pounding runs etc etc...I then skeem but hey this running along bush paths etc etc looks interesting...back at school in the late 70,s 80,s we called it cross country running...Sooo...I start checking out the ole bush paths around my local town that we used to ride our dirt bikes and BOOM...I am hooked on trail running....I really LOVE running bush paths?trails and we certainly have a few beaut ones in Slummies....

  11. There might have been a tad different story in the SA line up had The Jabberwocks and the Wolves not had an injured member apiece...BUT still a rather stout effort by BIG Mac and his soldiers...SALUTE!!!
