  1. Team Sky is all about GC guys. Wonder how he is gonna gel with Boonen?
  2. Better hide those deep sections for Saturay as well. Gonna be klapping in Simonstown. Theres a perfect pair of 202's for sale that is perfect for Saturday.
  3. Will make a decision as well on Sunday. Does'nt look good for Blouberg forecast. I have not told my son yet we riding will do that on Sunday if it happens. Iam tired of washing my bike every weekend.
  4. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/40108-scott-speedster-s30-brand-new/ https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/40320-scott-speedster-s-60-road-bike/ Nothing wrong with Tiagra, just below 105. Upgrade as things wear out.
  5. You could probably get away with a large. Get a fit first to make sure you getting the bike with the right geometry. Seen a couple of good deals on large bikes here.
  6. This is not too bad.. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/40486-merida-race-lite-904-xl-2011/
  7. Aluminium would be the way to go considering durability, weight and budget. Once you hit below 100 kgs you can switch to carbon. Look at something like a Scott Speedster with 105, I think its the S20. Comes with a carbon fork and the head tube is quite tall. I am 1.85 and ride a large. You might be looking at an XL but get a proper Ergo or BG fit for setup as it will make a huge difference in terms of comfort.
  8. Try these.. http://cwcycles.com/product/mavic-aksium-race-wheelset.
  9. Mtb 29er on an IDT? Huh? Mtb 29er on rollers? X2 Huh?
  10. The bb I had in is a ES30 which is sealed and its a 118mm because it had a triple crank before I changed it. I replaced with a ES 5500 which is the 105 model and has a109.5mm axle. Both are sealed.
  11. Seems normal. No hassles in terms of noise or signs of BB failing. I did replace mine though which I got from CRC because I didnt know how long mine had been in there and I ordered a few other stuff as well. After I took mine out gave it a polish with some Autosol and looks good as new. Gonna keep it as a spare.
  12. Had the same hassles with my octalink bb. Apart from putting some WD40 or Q20 after cleaning it off , that means taking crank arms off to clean rust.
  13. I use USN's whey protein. Mixes easy with water, juice or chocolate milk. I use vanilla which means you can mix with anything even in a fruit smoothie. It has some L- glutamine in it. It can be mixed without a blender.
  14. Why not look at VW's Logo roofrack. Similiar to Thule Pro- Ride with some cool wheel slots.
  15. Yooooh! Two weeks for Parcelforce? My free deliveries take that time. Search on net for EPS site for post office. You can track your parcel there with number given by CRC. Ja nee, the strike just made k#k droog.
  16. AZ, checked the link you posted but can't find info. I need to pick up a new chip I ordered. Can it be done on morning or where do we go on Friday or Saturday? I know the 19km aint timed.
  17. Sorry Wannabe, didnt see your thread as I started one also. Admin please adjust accordingly.
  18. 41% rain predicted for Sunday with a light SW wind. Im doing the 19km with my 11yr old. Its his first ride in a bunch. Im definitely going to be keeping as far left as possible. Racing is going to be fast for the main route but coming back might be tough against the wind. Safe riding.
  19. From the latest email from PPA there have been numerous complaints of cyclists not adhering to road rules on Chappies. Now there is discussions of a possible ban on cyclists on Chappies. The email mentions complaints by operators. What operators? Its ridiculous that it has come to this because of a few inconsiderate cyclists that think they own the road. What say the hubbers?
  20. @gummi. Blerrie Awesome! Congrats 10 times over. Have you gone for a spin yet?
  21. Thought this thread was pretty quiet the last couple of days. @gummi cant wait for your pics. @ Wazza, that LOOK's colour scheme is awesome. How long did it take to put together. You must've mulled over what colour goes where or did you just take what you could find and throw it together. Very creative.
  22. Top end mtb shoes are good enough to transfer power to pedals. You get the best of both worlds.
