  1. Team DSM and Jumbo were using on-the-fly adjustable tyre pressures. Could this have been the issue with WVA?
  2. I have a 2008 Colnago carbon frame with Record 10 speed. For past few months when descending especially there is a grinding noise when freewheeling which I thought was coming from BB area. When I pedal the noise goes away. We replaced crankset bearings and noise was still there. To date we have replaced chain, serviced Mavic hubs, freewheel body, replaced pedals, serviced Chris King headset, tried a different front wheel, checked the entire frame for cracks especially in BB area. I'm at a loss as to what the problem could be. Noise is there well into a ride, on CTCT it happened while descending Chappies and Suiker. Anyone with any advice please, thanks in advance.
  3. Condolences to family and friends. Any idea who the medical service was for race?
  4. OP has been contacted. Lets hope this is sorted soon.

  6. I can’t believe you posted this? Those tan tyres spoil it.
  7. Farm gate.
  8. Good to see a few Cpt Traffic officers walking down lower main road Salt River issuing fines for cars parked in cycle lanes, etc.
  9. Better?
  10. Cape Cobra Because of their usual contact with humans, the Cape cobra is regarded as one of the most dangerous venomous snake species in Africa. This is a highly venomous snake, with the most powerful venom of all African cobra species, it has also one of the highest rates of fatalities. The subcutaneous LD50 value of their venom in mice is 0.72 mg/kg. The average quantity of venom injected in a bite is 100 to 150 mg and composed of deadly cardiotoxins and neurotoxins. The cape cobra venom is thick and with the consistency of syrup. The snake uses its venom to target the nervous and respiratory system and also the heart. A bite to an adult human has a 60% chance of death if no antivenom is applied. The envenomation symptoms include mild local pain or Numbness around bite site, excessive salivation, loss of consciousness, convulsions, drowsiness, eyelid drooping, limb paralysis. Deaths occur anywhere from 1 hour in very severe cases up to 10 hours or more, the bite victims usually die from respiratory failure, due to paralysis caused by the venom. Local tissue necrosis may also occur.
  11. https://snake-facts.weebly.com/puff-adder.html Puff Adder venom is cytotoxic, it destroys tissue but regarded as slow-acting. But based on it's LD50 it is considered one of the most toxic of any viper snake species. The venom yield in a single bite ranges between 150 and 350 mg, with a maximum recorded of 750 mg. But to kill an adult human it only requires about 100 mg, and death may with occur within a day. A puff adder bite causes immediate severe pain, swelling, blistering, nausea, vomiting and later on necrosis with massive muscle and tissue damage. If not properly treated and the venom spreads it will at some point result in gangrene and secondary infections oftentimes resulting in loss of digits and limbs. Puff adder's fatality rate is highly dependent on the severity of the bite medical treatment received by the victim. Its bite mortality rate is probably about 15% if left untreated but as high as 52% in severe envenomations. It's considered responsible for the majority of snakebite fatalities in Africa, more than any other African snake, including the Black Mamba. This is due to several factors, such as its wide habitat distribution and their frequent occurrence in highly populated regions.

  13. Apologies for the Shimano.
  14. Ironically Eddy Merckx and Molteni team rode De Rosa bikes during most of his victories. De Rosa was actually contracted by EM when he started the Merckx brand. Eddy Merckx bikes now owned by Ridley recently launched the Liege which is a modern take on the Molteni orange bikes.
  15. I was hoping no one would find out. It's a dark day for the brand and tifosi.
  16. Link please Patch?
  17. Volta Ciclista Catalunya on all week to warm you up.
  18. What would you choose gummi? A Baum Correto frameset is nearly 10000 AUD $, slightly more than the De Rosa. Granted the Baum us custom built, but then again the De Rosa will surely increase in value over time. As opposed to the Baum.
  19. @M10, as a guide pre 2014 brake calipers, cassettes, chains, cranksets are compatible with 2015 -2018 groupsets. Only deraileurs and ergolevers are not compatible across the years.
  20. MA SE HARE!
  21. As much as a Record 10spd is the best groupset ever it would be out of place on a C60. At minimum a C60 needs a Record 11spd groupset. The pre 2015 groupspets are cheaper but new parts are scarce in terms of deraileurs and ergolevers.
  22. Stunning. Just remember we ride the same size frame ????
