  1. Yes, you need to bring your own food, own drinks and own back up car....
  2. I got R30 discount as I am an PPA member Considering full road closure, awesome vibe, awesome people, and loads of water points....why complain? If you dont like it don't enter.
  3. I bought my FFWD wheelset of wiggle.co.uk. I contacted FFWD directly regarding warranty claims etc and it is all valid. Price difference was massive! I paid R10980 excl customs for the FFWD F4R DT SWISS 240 tubular wheelset, here alone I got quoted from a well known supplier in SA the amount of R16 350 incl. Customs was R1700 and shipping was included with wheelset price. So lets see....R10980 + 1700 = R12680 against quoted SA price of R16350 so it is a saving of R3670 and it was delivered withing 5 working days... So yes, the more expensive the item the more they nail us on price. This is probably the reason why in future when I require loads of spares go online otherwise if it is something small I will support local. I had an awesome experience with Wiggle and will use them more often.
  4. What shifters are those?
  5. HAHA! Yea thats actually the main reason
  6. Seeding should be A-C, this is hard racing, I started in STARS last season, which suited me well to learn, etc. But I had to work myself up, I am now a B seeding. Id say you can't really use your Argus time however you'd want an sub3 time just my opinion.
  7. They better not be calling it off, I put in loads of effort on the IDT this winter....and I am sure there are other people too.
  8. That is a prize for life
  9. Today was awesome! Very muddy but I had fun!
  10. Damn hard racing! See you guys there
  11. Yea that is quite a good way of putting it, maybe the honest box must give like a sticker or something or fetch it at the restaurant...like bottelary trails use a armband type system, give the wristband and write the date on so people cant use it again
  12. SANRAL can never win in SA, I always thought when they say...'You have your right to freedom....' that we can do stuff for free, meanwhile we pay for everything....
  13. Im a dirt sucker, I go to Magic Forest, I aint a Tygerberg member yet.....however I must admit, I havnt been there in a while and went today and see you guys fixed the trails nicely, well I assume it was you, and for that reason I will get me a membership as I want to ride the other trails as well as I used to pay the day fee...imagine we need to start paying to use the road, I assume my TAX money includes that already?
  14. I also have one of these on their way, can't wait to receive it
  15. Believe me, in the begining when I got my TF3 I was like....ah just another bike, but the bike felt awesome! Everything just felt fine, since upgrading to the TF2, I realised wow! I tested a few other bikes before and so far in my honest opinion the Fondriest felt the best for me, however I'd love to try a Specialized SL4, Dogma and Foil.....but my dream bike still is the Cipollini.
  16. New Fondriest frames comes with a UCI legal logo, does matrix come with one? I'd rather by a brand named after someone or designed by a previous pro cyclist...that is my opinion....you won't go buy a Geely car now would you, no you'd stick to a VW, Ford, BMW, etc?
  17. I had a TF3, upgraded to the TF2, loved it. The TF3 is stiff, comfortable, and very good value for money. It is a well known brand, comes with a carbon seat post, etc...also it is very light. Matrix? Is that like another japanese brand?
  18. Thanks, I fitted tires yesterday to see how they will look on my bike...and damn are they light!! I will get me an F6R rear wheel sometime, that would look awesome
  19. Myself and tankman is going
  20. Well after my SLR Carbon saddle purchase, I ordered these beauties online for the race season and they finally got delivered yesterday.... FFWD F4R Carbon tubulars with DT Swiss 240 hubs...oh yes including the wheelbags
  21. That is sexy!! Imagine that with some nice Eastons
  22. There is no way you can run 3bar on the gravel, the bike will be way to lose. I pump mine about 1.8bar and it rides like a dream. Is it a tubeless tire? As I noticed using normal tires converted to tubeless does seem to pop off as it happened to my Ikons.
  23. I'm up to B, they used my 3 best results so i am happy with mine
  24. and the duty on a wheelset?
