See you guys there! Camping in the tent section the night before
  2. This thread is very depressing for our people who needs to sit at the office and work...
  3. HAHA! No it was actually my FD as the cable wasnt tightened properly That was my mistake.... (Don't blame the groupset if you have a rookie mechanic)
  4. Never had that problem with my SRAM, might be a link that is a bit tight, is chain lubed properly? Check all the links, sometimes it happens that a few links need to wear in, had that problem on my MTB running Shimano
  5. I got a Russel Hobs one, with the bean grinder it worked out to about R1200 at Makro, works prefect
  6. HAHAHA! I know of a few people where it clearly dropped a chain
  7. Contador used SRAM as well when he won that....You can't blame the groupset if the mechanic was sh*t
  8. Just for interest sake....Alesandro Zanardi was a top racing driver, he participated in Indy cars, Touring Cars, etc...amazing to see how he can enter this sport and be so good. I admire all these paralympic athletes.
  9. I went to the Interprovincial champs...I must admit the public attendance was Pathetic, there was probably around 10 hubbers there....I actually had a picture of how empty it was. I sure hope more people will attend this time
  10. Price on their S-Works Road shoes?
  11. This is probbaly the best artwork I ever seen before! Can we view it somewhere?
  12. I think A.T is scared of the Dale....lol! I find this is a perfect entry into league as Summer is for the mountain goats so atleast you would have a better fitness by then...
  13. Put it this way...I used to use Shimano, Upgraded to SRAM...will never go back to Shimano... and Campag is more for old people...
  14. Just for interest sake....garmin deisgned a handlebar mount and it is half the price of the K-Edge one, I ordered a K-Edge one already tho, but this will only be release in October 2012.
  15. You will have to be a total knob if you break down a sponsored product or a sponsor since they pay you to advertise for them basically....I am sure if he was sponsored by Shimano he would have said something good about them...I ain't saying it is a terrible product, just thinking logical....
  16. I have been using Shimano my whole life, upgraded to XT pedals, I am however very tempted to try out the Look Quartz mtb pedals...
  17. Please let me know when you in CT, would like to set up mine properly, got the Look Carbon Keo Blades
  18. Ek sal join
  19. more details perhaps? What does a kit come with, etc?
  20. How much do they weigh?
  21. What is their service like? Never heard of them before but now checking out the website
  22. People are losing the whole point of league, I would love to have a circuit race, etc every weekend...the aim of league is to expose people to racing, to help them improve and push themself and maybe become a top cyclist. League is an added bonus, they could always just let people start from A and so on....it wont improve the cycling as it will be a fun ride. By having league people get exposed to racing and this is what SA needs. I dont want my money back, I want to participate in the league event and improve my cycling and who knows, maybe there is someone in the bunch who can end up going to Europe building an career....thus is why league is the perfect starting point.
  23. I hope it still happens....
  24. Students drink out R300 a night...wait until you need to start budget for RA's, Medical Aid, Rent, Fuel, etc....then you will see us working people don't have it so easy... It is R330 for a oneday event, yes...I have never used the Argus water points either, but the vibe is awesome! Doing the race in Sub3 or sub7....you still had full road closure, one day you are allowed to take over the whole road.... I budget for my races for future, meaning I put away cash during the year for that, eg: League is R990, thats a once off amount + K2C, + Argus + Die Burger....and all the spares, etc...cycling is an expensive sport....but an awesome lifestyle.
