  1. I received an email from PPA regarding this, they said details to follow during the month still
  2. Great looking machine.....but you forgot to mention the weight??
  3. HAHA! Vat jy die woorde uit my mond.
  4. Depends on the amount of the package, I just imported some new wheels, will let you know the amount on duties....but lets just say I saved about 6k according to the quoted price from a SA Distributor and Customs normally is 7.5-10% of total value
  5. I done this last year for the first time in 4:56, lets first of all say that the route profile is all lies, it looks a lot easier on paper than doing the actual riding....it was hard climbing, especially the last 40km's. Also the weather was super hot which made it even harder. Training wise I would say a good preperation race is the Staalwater, as it was a tough race, just stay hydrated during the K2C, I will be back this year, a lot fitter than last year, but overall a awesome race. There has been changes to the route though, sounds like it is about 5km longer but a bit less climbing.
  6. The money of the people who enters the league. Do your calculation, R1400 x every group, then teams is a extra few bucks....you will get your total.
  7. Paying over R1000+ entry per rider, then they pay an amount to PPA for the entries...Set out Prize money with vouchers by using funding received....yes, it was all donations from Cycle Lab out their own free will. Eulogy done a great job by managing it all....but doing it out of their own free will....HAHA...there isn't a thing as doing anything out of your own....they in it to make money.
  8. As long as these events happen over weekends it is fine...as I work during the week and I am sure most of the others do to. I don't mind the amount of races, I raced STARS last season, basically enetering the racing scene, and I enjoyed it. Moving up to Elites this season as planned, however Red Hill and all these places sounds like a good idea but consider the following, is there enough parking for all the cars? What time duration does it take for a Hill Climb to finish for all the riders? Also people will be travelling from all over CT...Bainskloof sounds cool, but then again, where will everyone park, try explain to cars they can't drive from Ceres via Bainskloof to Wellington, they will need to drive all the way around...and all these things. They could always have left out the 2 circuit races, but this also makes it fun, as I am sure it will suit a different rider.....same with the 1 hour crit, where it is riding smart that will matter and ofcourse packing your cavendish legs. It is a pity about Cycle Lab withdrawing, but hopefully they will give us prize money then as I wasnt even able to buy a stupid light with my R100 voucher that I had won... 'Dale, looking forward to seeing you race, it has been a long time coming...just get Tiny_K to join me now in Elites.
  9. Latest addition, Selle Italia SLR Carbon, new addition to come within the next few days
  10. I get a error everytime I want to renew my PPA membership via Credit Card
  11. I am glad this young chap is doing so well...I am tired of the same old boring Cavendish attitude...some new young talent, that is what cycling is about!
  12. I would love one of these
  13. I can basically use myself here as proof, I used to eat the normal everyday stuff, last year November i decided I want to cycle serious, I got a coach, got my diet sorted....I lost about 17kg since, I did not lose any muscle! I currently weigh in at 79kg's, and I am still on my diet. The more I cycle the more I eat, but I eat the right foods, also drink a lot of water (1.5-2L a day) So to your question, I would say diet and exercise is a combination, however even if you don't exercise by still eating the healthy food you should be losing fat. I am mainly on a high protein diet, and so far it is paying off
  14. I also want one!!
  15. Go for John....he helped me go from nowhere to getting me very fit! I recommended him to Zac.A, and Zac agrees he does an awesome job! I will recommend him! Great athlete, amazing at what he does and he sure knows his stuff.
  16. I went to Renay, I must admit it made a huge difference. I am 1.84m, I ride a large MTB, my roadbike is a Medium with a 120mm stem, top tube is 55.7 as which is perfect for me, but anyway roadbikes have a different geometry depending on brand....back to MTB. I own a 29er and 26er, both of them is large and seatpost is quite far out, so I cant really see you riding a Medium MTB as that is more for the 168cm - 175cm market.
  17. I put mine in a small plastic sandwich bag and put it in my back pocket......under no circumstances can I ruien my awesome roadbike with a saddle bag!
  18. haha....why not send some PPA development riders also while they at it
  19. Where did you find them??? and price please?
  20. Well atleast he proved himself a SILVER at the worlds, oh well....another young rider up against EXPERIENCED riders, I never even heard of this Esterhuizen guy before.....but oh well....probably the same reason why Cherise isnt there...
  21. Why isn't Nolan Hoffman on the track team? He basically dominated the SA track champs and got a 2nd in the World Champs....
  22. I have never updated my garmin before at all....lol!
  23. I went from crossmarks to this combo...only regret I have I should have done this the beginning! I like!!
  24. I think you need to change the design of the 'Summit' decals, for some reason i just can't get myself to like the design, however the bike looks awesome...maybe use a different font and colour sticker?
  25. That post was made in April 2011....before signing NetApp then going to GreenEdge
