  1. I use Trainer Road, programs work better for me. i also experienced issues with Zwift where it is delayed on the slopes/decents but it might be as it is a 3D riding experience(need 10mb+ internet then) and Trainer Road is block based programs, since moving over to Trainer Road had no problems with my trainer disconnecting. I connect to laptop via bluetooth and then the ant+ usb picks up my power meter and hrt monitor.
  2. Decided to upgrade my wheelset...got me the Giant SLR01 carbon wheelset FeaturesUltra-Light full composite 700C rimsTubeless compatible using supplied rim strips and valves23mm wide rim for better tire performance30mm rim heightStainless steel, straight pull, double butted spokesDynamic Balanced Lacing provides significantly higher transmission stiffness vs. traditionally laced wheelsAlloy locking nipplesGiant Alloy hub shell with pawl based driver1425g per pair
  3. Decided to upgrade the MTB...she is a bit dirty now
  4. If you know what to look for yes, but for the average cyclist without a coach it is like a bragging tool to say you smash 400watt up Llandudno all the way to the top. When I used to be coached they were able to analyse data better, at the moment I am a recreational cyclist and I just look at my power once a while to see how my fitness is but normally when you k@k off it means you pushing out higher power...your hrt will also be higher. Wouldnt say it is a need it is more a luxury. Just my 2c
  5. Perhaps Arianne want to peak at the Epic where the others is already starting to peak?
  6. wonder if he will start in the back again now, since he climbed the ladder in the seeding field due to using performance enhancing drugs...which fun ride is next? Durbanville Durbie bash?
  7. Doesnt work with my handlebar, have one already lying in a box...
  8. Where did you buy that mount? I am looking for the same one.
  9. Still a newbie....the bike was basically like new but after the weekend the blue part is like gone
  10. Not really bicycle related but still has the cycle part in...my latest purchase with only 5520km on the clock to help with fuel saving and travel, bought from Kawasaki South (Neville cragg's place - Suzuki South)
  11. How do you find the shoes? I love my S-Works although they are the previous model a upgrade is due soon!
  12. I loved the new route...the climbs was perfect! Longish climbs which we don't get often in races. There was a small break in the beginning but we managed to catch alot, only a few got away...last climb there was a attack by some Abantu and BMC guys where I followed...finished in about 2:58 if I remember correctly. Will definitely be back next year!
  13. the Ultegra Di2 is about 5k less than SRAM RED, in that case I'd try go for Red 22spd...
  14. I went for RED shifters, Force RD and FD, brakes, Casette and chainrings as weight saving is minimal and price difference is huge! (I use the powermeter crank so only needed the blades). Could have gone for the brakes but didnt really think of it at that time, lol.
  15. I just upgraded to SRAM Force & RED 22spd mixed....all i can say is wow! Shifting is so smooth!! Love it! Also it is quite light...but thats just me. Don't forget to charge your batteries with Di2...happened to JOC at a race where his batery died...lol!
  16. Im sure if you get a few bike shops together to sponsor they would be able to wrap everything up within a month
  17. The latest 2014 one, Ultravox RS-1 I am keeping my power2max as I use it as a training tool, just took the blades from the crank and put it onto my rotor crank. As the bike is in the pic the build is complete...did it Friday evening.
  18. Decided it is time to upgrade my groupset on my Ultravox... SRAM 22spd...Force and Red mix!
  19. Guys picked up a wallet, they handed it in at the restaurant. Black wallet, loads of cards was next to a BMW. I didnt pick it up someone else did but asked me to post. drivers license say SW Louw
  20. If anyone lost a Garmin Edge at table mountain the police has it, I assume the station at Green Point as they do all the patrolling... They asked if it was mine, I said no but I can put a add on the website, they dd not want to give it to me then...so anyway here goes. It was on Saturday, 21 June around 9am
  21. Being quite a loyal customer at www.wiggle.co.uk they have a system where you get a client rating based on the amount of purchases you do during the year, eg. silver = x amount, gold = y amount and platinum = z amount....with this client rating comes a discount, eg. silver is 5%, gold is 10% and platinum is 15%...so currently I am a platinum client receiving some good deals. The idea for SA stores why don't you start something like this? Surely if a regular client ends up spending 15k+ a year some discount would be quite a good idea? (5k = silver, 10k = gold and 15k+ = platinum) Not only will this win you some clients over but also keep clients satisfied with some killer deals as they will be buying more and more to get to that discount rating?
  22. everything is available online which is included th my monthly ADSL internet subscription? Not to burst your bubble but I don't think your app is going to make it as it is paid for....people like free stuff.
  23. Have you ever trained with one? I have been training with one and made tremendous progress, yes sure a solid mindset helps but I done races before where my mind said you can still win meanwhile my legs said f*%^& you I am going home....a powermetre can monitor such things. Agree'd....I love my Power2Max, gives me everything I need.
