  1. Sad thing i am missing the cobra, I am doing the 24hour Oak Valley, but I will be ready for Bouckert Yea that guy was amazingly fast....I wonder what speed he went up helz
  2. Yes maybe I should do that, but I wanted to stand on the podium, it means jack now afterwards...but its fine, i will be back stronger and faster, this time I will just do it fair....they will probably make me pee in a cup then....this was my first league race ever so I think I done very well...
  3. I checked the times on racetec...we have exact identical times...but I know for fact I was before him...maybe his name helped him along as he cycles for that Cedar club since they take up half the STARS group...but now I know so I will just have to beat them further
  4. that casette looks brand new, maybe try clean the rust of the casette?
  5. I crossed the line for the STARS in 3rd position, but then suddenly got put back towards 4th (Excl the 2:25min STAR rider that clearly broke away from the start that no one saw)...I am a bit upset about that as I know for fact there was to infront of me as I saw them....so I doubt the positions also... My race report....Started in STARS....the beginning was so damn slow that I eventually had to go off on the front till we hit Hellshoogte, I cycled up there with a few hubber, tourvista being one of them...so we went over trying to form a nice group...pfffft.....what a bunch of wheel suckers, I realised now in league no one works...everyone want to wheel suck....anyway...so I went a bit off the front at the back section past simondium.....then people came back and speed climbed a bit....where we turned onto the road that goes towards the R44 I broke away, was a lone ranger for about 12km but slacked down due to I know there is about 50km left...Gerrit genis and them came past so I hooked on, we all worked well together, think there was about 5, we worked all the way till over Klip heuwel and so on...we hit the R304, maintaining a nice pace, I noticed loads of people dropping off as we go...we caght a E-F bunch, (Howzit 'Dale and Marius) and went on that way, last 10km i ran out of water, I was going to throw a attack the last 3km but with a dry throat, not a good plan...finished the sprint in 3rd (no wait according to them it is 4th)...average was +-37km/h and time was abour 2h 54min, think it turned out very well. There was also a guy that cheated, as when I was on the break towards the R44 I went past a STAR rider, the marshall saw you and I am sure you will be reported.... Awesome seeing some hubbers...
  6. You got PM, his name is John Wakefield
  7. I end up swearing a lot while training due to pushing myself so hard... so true
  8. I pm'd him his details already, I also use him
  9. Thanks, yea I see that 6mins made quite a large difference, but now next time you know that you must join I am not doing the 99er, I will be using that weekend as a rest weekend as according to the program I am on and to spend some time with my lady. Congrats on your upgrade, see you Sunday
  10. I think my shimano breaks is faulty, every time I break, it feels like the caliper brakes...
  11. Wise words there, it is true, I know when I cycle I hardly look around me, just in the front...so if someone hits me from the side I wouldn't know where I end up. If I see people walking on the side, I cycle quite a distance past them to be safe as since you been attacked that made me more aware. I am also sure if they pull you off at speed you won't be able to get into your pocket as you will be in pain. As for the garage, I was cycling past there 2 weeks ago on a Saturday morning, there were 3 black males at the robot on the other side of the road, when they saw me coming they tried to run over but traffic blocked them and I thought they just wanted to get across. What do you say we cycle past there one morning and see who tries to do something funny then we take it from there?
  12. WOW! My New seeding is a E, after the burger it was a G...and from the race now at Journey for Sight it jumped to E....I am very happy
  13. from what i thought we leave at Klein Joostenberg, then turn towards R304, through stellenbosch, then turn towards Helshoogte....
  14. Where did you buy it and how much was it?
  15. Think I am going to go buy some tonight, I cycle that way a lot in early morning rides....what would happen if I spray him and beat him up? Can I leave him there and just go?
  16. This makes me think now, a while ago I was cycling on the R44 and there were 3 young males with sticks on the side of the road close to Kromme Rhee...I was a bit fast past them to get close but I think they were trouble makers but since they have not attacked me I didn't really take notice.
  17. I am suppose to be a G, just didnt fetch it yet, nice thing if people go up together you form a pack and then you all work together at upcoming events, the group we had was perfect, and if everyone can stick together like that it would help. as for Boyes, we pushed a bit to get every second possible, at beginning Boyes I went a bit back, but my legs recovered well and I finished strong in the bunch when I caught at the downhill. Awesome race tho, think for the conditions the time we all done was very good.
  18. haha, I used it to recover a bit but down Smits and Simons town through to Fish Hoek we had some nice pace ...I was in the front few there a while till Boyes, awesome ride it was Which one were you?
  19. Unfortunately that is the price....I used Ben at Sport Science, but was also around R700 for VO2Max test...etc. If you see the time they put in, processing a report afterwards of 10 pages, I understand the price.
  20. I see it as this way, the more serious rider who wants to improve will pay...otherwise you will get every person entering league...i always pay late entry at races so I dont really lose out
  21. That was the reason we pushed a bit, we wanted to get rid of the regular wheel suckers, overall the bunch of people we were worked really really well, we caught a few more riders of F - G coming down Ou Kaaps but that wind pushed me all over with those deep sections, if you were able to catch is downwards it wouldve helped a you a lot, this race felt worse than a 100km due to this heavy bad wind, but checking out the times I think it is going to help the seeding a bit Will see you in STARS, don't really know what to expect, but the experience will help
  22. I started in H with you guys, we attacked at Ou Kaapse Weg, dropped a load of people, then I did a big gutter up Slankop toward Misty Cliff to get the pace going a bit, I finished with a time of 2h 14min and we caught the F group up just a bit before Smits, I was in the Brothers Sport kit with the Fondriest and deepsection wheels, not sure what happened to you guys..we worked together and thats how we kept the pace, but the legs felt strong and finished well That was me, and there was about another 5 , I was in the Blue and White Brothers Sport kit and I dropped my jungle oat bar then
