  1. Disagree. Remember this is done via a scientific computerised program that works out your setup according to your flexibility, length, etc....so so you won't really be left in pain, some muscles will stretch a bit as they will be working like they should for their full potential. if you suffer from heavy back pain then you know it is a lack of core muscles or something else. My saddle was lifted with around 3cm, stem was moved, etc. Had it all done at one go, that is why you do the setup. Rather get it all done at once and be in pain for about 3 rides max. I went for a 100km cycle the next day and actually felt really good, legs were sore due to them stretching further but overall it felt very good and comfortable. Give Renay a call at Epic, if i heard correct the other day he done around 200 of them, so clearly it works....
  2. I tried my 26er the other day again.....felt like a bmx...bike feels way to small....like a clown bike.
  3. of all the breakfast in a box that one keeps me filled up the longest. I done loads of long distance races only on future life and energy drink and only recently started eating on the bike. I think the problem was hydration in general due to the heat, or a lack of training.
  4. HAHA! So true
  5. Don't lift it more and more....just lift it to where it should be and get it over with. I started with the full setup and it worked well....otherwise what is the point of being in pain every time you lift it a bit more? Don't question the setup, just do it
  6. Talking about the Staalwater race? That was a tough race and very hot as well....even I cramped a few times.
  7. 'Vodka (Russian: водка, Polish: wódka) is a distilled beverage. It is composed primarily of water and ethanol with traces of impurities and flavorings. Vodka is made by distillation of fermented substances such as grains, potatoes, or sometimes fruits.' Now that is interesting, learn something new everyday
  8. I didn't know potato even had sugar in.
  9. Haha, after reading that title again 'did coke cause me to bonk....' it sure does sound...different.
  10. just go on the road, spin the legs a bit, use light gears at a cadence of around 100rpm, that way the muscles warms up quickly.
  11. I went to Renay Groustra....he did a awesome job! Go for the ErgoMax though, best money spend
  12. Do a warm up cycle before the race? maybe like 10-15min?
  13. There is a reason for that, your legs isn't used to being stretched out fully, so your hamstring, etc will feel it.....I had that setup done and struggled for about a week....after that my cycling improved tremendously. I don't look back at all....but one thing they must make this compulsory at bike shops, that way people won't end up buying bikes that is to big for them!! Change it back....don't be a brat now
  14. Agree! I was told, if your body is starting to ask for water or food it is already to late....you must drink every 10-15min and you must eat as often as possible, even if you feel full, still force that half a bar....cause in the end that half could have helped you in the race. Your bonking sounds like a pure lack of training for the intensity you cycled at or it was because of undereating...remember when it is hot your body needs more minerals to stay hydrated. I used to only drink, never ate anything....so I learned the hard way....since i started eating more regular I feel better on the bike. I used to use 32gi....nothing wrong with it, but changed over to Cytomax, just felt that it works better for me.
