Mine came with some remote, so I put the remote on the heaviest function The trainer works well for a nice relaxing warm up cycle, but for real training it sucks, now I know why people spend over R3k+ on a IDT. Best would be to look for something better like the Tacx?

Nee wat, those trainers suck. I use one, I can cycle in the heaviest setting on my 50/11 ratio and yet I still pedal with ease

i dont ever see the point of this on a road bike....it will just add more weight for a stupid reason. We managed well so far with the current brake setups, we also don't go so fast that the current brakes can't stop us...just another money making scheme.

That is what I do when cycling to Chapmans Peak from the Northern suburbs, i use the cycle lane and then go straight through paarden island onto the N1.

I have the 2011 XTC....it comes with a Shimano SLX/XT mixed. I noticed the XTC 0 comes only with Deore....which makes the 2011 better value for money

pedal faster (higher cadence) = compact crank by using a compact crank you will climb easier, not necessarily faster, I use compact with a 23/11 ratio which makes it a bit faster, keeps the cadence nice.....but the 39/52 is a faster combination

I agree with Ratty, I know loads of party animals who works very hard. A company should allow you to have freedom....you can do whatever you want on weekends then, it is none of their business
