  1. Hey Robert, no I have a 700c wheel, I bought a Kenda tyre, will see how it holds up
  2. Option 5 : Buy a new bike because this all just sounds like a good reason for another bike
  3. Well I am within the pressure range printed on the tyre, so I would assume it is correct, and I have setup the contact on the tyre as is advised in the manual....
  4. Hey everyone, did not want to start a new thread, so thought I would resurrect this one. I have a wheel on trainer, Elite Tuo, I am just struggling with tyres for it, I started with a Saris tyre, it was a crap show, shed loads of rubber and was noisy, then ai got a Tacx tyre, that was decent, lasted a while, but they were pretty expensive, and now I cant find them in stock, so I got a Schwalbe insider, it was decent, nice and quiet, but did not last long, had it for about 3 months and it just exploded now during a session, almost covered the room with brown stuff, not sure if it is worth getting another one though? Can anyone recommend any other trainer tyres?
  5. Also contemplating doing this one, maar eish, all this talk of wind, and all the wind we been having in GP the past 2 days, not very inspiring
  6. For somethings you might need a Global shopper account, 90% of the stuff they will ship direct, but if you want Renthal handlebars, like I wanted to get, they wont ship that 🤣 got all sorts of other things from them that I technically shouldn't have been able to get, but nope, not Renthal bars 😂🤣
  7. To early to start checking weather forecasts?
  8. Sadly I am severely technologically challenged, I dont know how to do such things 🤣 maybe I shoud try learn how to do that
  9. Footsak man! Stop buying all the things I want!
  10. I did check how to measure them, and they are somewhere between 110-120mm
  11. Current bars reach is like 110mm or 120mm, difficult to measure accurately
  12. Update... Bought a cheapy bike, Raliegh RC3000, it is a 56cm which unfortunately feels a tad too big for me, is there anything I can do to make it fit better? I already changed from a 110mm stem to a 90mm, can I maybe try a shorter reach bar or a zero offset seatpost? Or should I sell and try find a 54cm?
  13. Been using IndieVelo for the past 2 weeks, I quite enjoy it so far, the group rides are nice, and the workouts are decent as well, just a pity there are so few options for workouts, and they are not quite as interactive as on Zwift, I quite enjoyed the messages explaining why and what you were training in specific areas of the workouts on Zwift, it will probably come with time though. The "scenery" also gets a little monotonous, everything just always looks the same, unlike Zwift where there are clear differences in the areas you are riding. Again, maybe that will come with time, but for now, it is free, and it does what it needs to do.
  14. Yup, and she always makes sure to get ALL the vouchers you can redeemed, during that MOTDF thing each week you could get gels and whatever, if I couldnt find the stuff, she went and found it for me
  15. She is still there, I was there last week and she was there
  16. I also use them for a large majority of cycling stuff I need, I dont deal with the floor staff much, but Thuli, the lady at checkout is just awesome, she is always friendly and goes out of her way to helpful, she is 90% of the reason I go there.
  17. The Trek, and they are having a really good sale running at the moment
  18. No idea, just relating what happened, how often have you sold something and the buyer arranges the courier? I think I have had 2 transactions like that, every other sale the buyer has asked me to arrange the courier
  19. This did happen not so long ago, cant remember what thread it was, but the buyer related the story, the seller sent the bike via courier, in that period last year with all the riots in KZN, the bike went missing in transit, the buyer got his money back from BikeHub Pay, the seller was left to deal with the courier company
  20. Is it just because 25+km sounds cooler when chatting about it? Because a 10km ride with 1000m elevation hurts a LOT more than 30km ride with 100m elevation, the 30km just sounds better in casual conversation
  21. Pretty much everything cycling related is cheaper in Europe
  22. Could look at the 5Dev alloy cranks, still pretty pricey though, or their Cam Zink signature cranks, they are a fair bit cheaper https://ride5dev.com/collections/cranks
  23. What if you do the spindown calibration on Zwift?
  24. I did, but not going to lie, I have no idea what any of that stuff means 🤣 I tried downloading both options, neither one opened, all I know is my PC is VERY basic, so not surprised at all that it doesn't work, a friend said I should try it on my phone, so will give that a whirl as well, for now, will try IndieVelo
  25. Tried downloading MyWhoosh last night, my pc doesnt even attempt to open it 🤣 downloaded IndieVelo, will give that a whirl, I have been enjoying Zwift, but meed to cut costs wherever I can, and if I can replace Zwift, that is quite a nice saving
