  2. Managed to fix my shifter, happy days.
  3. Managed to fix my shifter, after much swearing, dropped springs and frustration
  4. Hi guys, I have a bit of a desperate plea, took a little tumble today, managed to break my shifter, so just want to check if by any slight chance someone from the hub is also in Clarens this weekend and maybe has a Sram Eagle shifter that I might be able to buy from you, I know it is unlikely, but just giving it a shot.
  5. Hi guys, I have a bit of a desperate plea, we are in Clarens for Amohela, and took a little tumble today, managed to break my shifter, so just want to check if by any slight chance someone from the hub is also in Clarens this weekend and maybe has a Sram Eagle shifter that I might be able to buy from you, I know it is unlikely, but just giving it a shot.
  6. I did big mountain in 2021, so the longer climb, I walked a lot of it 🤣🤣 this year sounds a bit "better" being 4km shorter and on a concrete paved path....
  7. I entered big mountain, changed to small mountain, and now I am having serious fomo thoughts because of the EPIC descent on day 2 🤔🤔🤔
  8. This is from the link in the message they sent out this morning
  9. As far as the Amohela Enduro thing, it sounds like a short 3km lap, that we will ride 3 times, I am assuming there will be a climb that will not timed, and a descent that will be timed, but I am not 100% sure how they are going to work this one
  10. I would like to do the Enduro on Friday, but not sure if I am going to yet
  11. Just a word of caution, the only lubrication the crank and rod bearings get is from the fuel that passes through the crankcase when the motor runs, running it till it runs dry means that there is no lubrication as the motor dies, it might sound trivial, but I have seen guys seize motors doing that
  12. "Off course" or "of course" I am very confused by this
  13. Funny enough, they dont have any decent tyres...
  14. You just dont know which bikeshops to go to in Gauteng......
  15. The Nukeproof Horizon Enduro pedals are amazing, and cost about the same as most composite pedals available locally, it actually cost me like R300 less to bring in a set of those from CRC than any composite pedals I could find locally, and they are by far the best flat pedals I have used. P.S. the exchange rate has gone up somewhat since I got mine, but still definitely worth a look
  16. 3ml? That's like half the fluid in the entire system 🤔 Also, when checking for any warpage on the discs, make sure you know what you doing with your hands, otherwise your finger/s will look like mine 🤣
  17. And I work with my hands in a factory everyday, going to be a rough couple days up ahead
  18. Dont put your hands near the spinny rotatey thingies absent mindedly while they are spinny spinning......
  19. I am 183cm and when I had a Top Fuel I went for a Large, fit me like a glove
  20. More robust than DT EX511?
  21. Loving the new bits at Modderfontien, really has made it much more fun to ride As an aside, the birds are back at the creak, maybe the area should be closed for next while
  22. Pricing for the Tig is on the Pyga website 🤔
  23. Trek Top Fuel 7, upgrade the fork to Pike and upgrade the brakes, that is a really nice bike, I had one for a short while, and I miss it dearly I think the TREK website has the Top Fuel as frame only option as well
  24. Getting all the bits and pieces together for the install at my place, Sunsynk 5kw inverter, Sunsynk 10kwh battery, and 6 x 550w solar panels, looking forward to getting it installed and running. Does anyone have a contact for a good, reliable installer in JHB East Rand?
