  4. Thanks, lets just hope we have them before the end of Jan wen racing start. Isn't there a database that the race organizers can use to check if you have a valid license that way we can send one person to collect a lot of numbers without the hassle of checking cards? What is the cheapest option for a fun rider to do a few races mainly the short ones?
  5. I just hope they send the License to my club because I only have a PO box and there is no place to insert your PO Box, if they send it to my physical address the poor delivery guy will just throw it into the complex gate an I will never see my License.
  6. Sorry for the hi-jack. I saw they are working there, how far is it open to cycle, I want to do some hill training sunday. Hijack off.
  7. A big Thumbs up for Cycle Fit (Hanko) Went this morning to setup my Bike after i bought a new Saddle on the hub, nice personal touch, and working from Bester cycles is a nice idea. Thanks Hanko. PS. now i must get my Lazy ass on the bike before the argus.
  8. Thanks, for a great idea, if this initiative gets off the ground it will surly make people think and more people will keep there empty gel bags even if they are using other brands. If this just promote the idea not to throw your garbage on the road, it will already be a great achievement and a win for the cycling community.
  9. Thanks. Received my Arione all the way from Kuruman neatly warped in bubble plastic. I will post a pic as soon as it is on my bike. baie dankie!

  11. Compact: 50/34 or 50/36 Standard: 52/39 compact gives you a bigger range of gears to use and you will be able to spin at higher cadence on climbs. The big chain ring on a compact is not at big as on a standard thus giving you lower top speed. Ask BigBen.... Gman18342008-11-20 08:27:03
  12. I saw some inaccurate readings in the last two races especially if someone with a polar rides next to me then the speed shows big numbers almost double that i am doing. I am going to try and move the speed sensor closer to the top of the fork and see if the problem stops. I am using the C100 the smallest/cheep one so i wont complain to hard.
  13. Change the topic to OH MY GOSH 94.7!!!! and it will fit into the topic of the day. 94.7
  14. Used the Kiwi for the first time Sunday (94.7) it didn't taste to good but i tasted worst things in my life, but i must say it works, I could feel energy where there were no energy before. Thanks

Cool, now to save for a compact crank, and then to start looking for a 52 or 53 110mm BCD Blade.

How does the front derailleur work, what groupset are you running. where did you get a compact 52? http://sheldonbrown.com/gears/
  17. Thanks for the promo at the expo, I tried the green wasp just as I got off the N14 thinking it should last the last 40min well it lasted but i was over the line in less than 30min. It doesn't taste to good but taking a sip of my energy drink and having a jellybaby the taste were gone, i could feel the stuff working. wish i had more for the second lap with the wife. My wife had one of the woman specific gels and said it taste good and it worked, she also said the gel is to big but she took the other half later in the race.

What cassette are you running, a change on the cassette will make more of a difference than a bigger front gear.
