  2. My parents have it recorded on the pvr I must just get to them with the pc to put it on disc, but that will only happen next month. I seen the thing and it was nothing special, the commentating was in some foren language and the commentators was not very clued up on cycling. Dont expect TDF. Gman18342009-03-19 06:31:25
  3. you are almost spot on, just make sure you can actually use the water bottle on a bicycle not like those useless MTN bottles that leak and fall out of the cages. Hollard water bottles are the best .
  4. Stuff that we can use like, toothpaste, shower gel and deodorant. not those useless small packets of rubs and creams that you cant get enough to cover your finger. or bicycling magazines form last year! It wasn't interesting then and surly wont be interesting now!
  5. Thanks Cycle Events What the timing company's and race organizers don't understand is that we/I do the races to improve my seeding if the seeding is not updated and i have to sart in a slower bunch because of that then tere are no need to enter, I can then just as well do my club races for free once a week and time myself and keep my own record. People at the back of the group cant compete for position but they can aim to better their seeding and move up in the bunches. if you look at most races 10% of the money come from the racing guys the rest are the "fun riders" that look at times and seeding.
  6. I gave up hope with them, I keep my own spreadsheet with results an my own seeding calculation (and i am pretty accurate). The race organizers don't use the average seeding index (avr of bets 3) they use your best race seeding to seed you, so as long as your best race seeding is on the list you don't have to worry.
  7. mmm training during winter with power, now that sound cool Gman18342009-03-17 06:51:02
  8. Saw on there website that some were shipped, guess what mine is still not shipped almost 4 months now? http://cms.cyclingsa.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=604&Itemid=38
  9. Agree it are just to expensive. I can ride at groenkloof for R18.50 and i can ride all day if i want, it has less traffic than in a race and i can braai afterwords.
  10. Did it make you feel windy?
  11. After having a few issues with spokes on my wheel, I took it to JB (Yellow saddle). After careful investigation it was found that there were a fundamental fault with the wheel and it had to be sent to the manufacturer for inspection. When I heard this I knew that there was no chance that I would ride the Argus with my racing wheel and prepared my self for a race with a training wheel. Friday morning while waiting for the train going to the Argus, I got this call from Mr JB telling me that the wheel has been repaired and is waiting in cape town for collection. He arranged for the wheel to be delivered to the hotel as I didn?t have transport. After arriving at the hotel I phoned the guy from Dragon (Adriaan) and he brought the wheel to the hotel room with tools to change my cassette. I did the race, the wheel run as smooth as a new one. Thanks for the great service. Gman18342009-03-11 05:15:56

  13. Next time you are in a road block without being checked, please take a look at what cars are being stopped and checked. you will notice that most are Taxi's and old cars.
  14. I have the CS100 and very happy, i would like to have the file storage capability of the CS200. saving for a Garmin 305
  15. Thanks for the update,
  16. Well that is easy. What does it cost to host the event. Cost to host the event + 10% divided by the expected amount of riders = entry fee. I would do 10 races @ R50.00 each but i wont do 4 races @ R100 each Babbas used to be affordable but now!! R90 for 35km and R70 for 12km I would rather ride at groenkloof R18.50 get you in and you can cycle the whole day. Or go out with the club.
  17. You can get a number plate made for +- R30.00, cable tie it to you bike rack, most bike racks have place to put a numberplate. As for lights, a nice DIY job wont be more than R150.00 If we keep our part clean the cops will focus on something else, and improve total road safety.

    Prices

About R350 if you know were to shop. (Pta anderkant die berg)
  19. Less than R10 000 is the range I operate. Rather buy secondhand than this new ridiculous prices.
  20. Is daar 'n lys van lisensies wat laasweek en die week voor dit en die week voor dit en die week voor dit en die.... gepos is?
