From an relaxing start to an eventual passing of high speed jets and classic old Aeroplanes at the Air Force Base in the centurion area, there simply is no equal when it comes to a sense of achievement, setting and the overall spirit – the Jaguar Land Rover Centurion Family Cycle Race is a must for all families as well as for competitive riders and aeroplane fanatics. General The main cycle race route is 27Km long. Thanks. Was also my first time getting it right. Normally I would get a whitish orb, particularly when using the camera on AUTO. Started playing around a bit, and the results were not too bad.

Cellphone reception at Sondela is a bit poor, therefore you may have difficulty getting through. There were late entries available today for the 40 and 20km.

According to what I heard the race was cancelled due to the low number of entries received. Anyone that has entered will be given the option of their entry fees going towards the next event to be held later in the year, or getting a refund.

Camping sites are available at R120-00 per person participating in the event. There are still studio apartments available at R1595-00 per day. Not sure whether that is per person or for the unit.

Last year the event was held at the Legends Golf and Safari resort, which is 60km further than Mabalingwe. That could have been a factor as to why there were so few entries.

The organisers of the upcoming Tour de Tuli would like to know which type of jersey, or choice of jersey the participants would prefer.

You can either bring your own SAS board, or get issued with a temporary board which gets taken back at the finish line. A request though: Don't ride with your permanent SAS board and the temporary board, as some people are doing, as the Spectrum Sport system then tries to read both numbers, and you get a NO DATA. Use either one, but not both.

Start times at Babbas have been standardised at 08:00 am since last year. Summer or winter the start times remain the same.

I find it strange that you guys mention getting your drinks in a cup at the end of the race. From where I was standing, I saw most riders get their medal handed to them, as well as 2 small bags, one with water, and the other with either guava, orange or litchi juice. That has always been how it works at Babbas. The independent food vendors may have run out of cold drinks later in the day. At prize giving time (around 11am) they still had a few Coke Zero's and beers available. I have never seen them sell drinks by the cup.

Babbas Lodge is on 05 Jan 2014. 12 Jan 2014 is the Summer Fast One at the Lido Hotel in Eikenhof.
