  2. @eldron now we have to get your tall tatoo'd mate to join us.
  3. there is a demand for "more friendlier" stage races,Dr Evil Classic incorporating karoo2coast will also be like this.My feeling's are that with the demands on people today with work and family commitments,it is getting more difficult to train long hours in the saddle. The epic will always be the "EPIC" I do prefer the easier stage races
  4. I totally agree, well done Anton and Evo
  5. any make of valve will work

  12. i am keen on this one,i know the area quiet well and really enjoy riding there,i think day 1 could involve part of the red route in harkerville (not sure of that) plus DrEvil knows those parts of the world very very well and i am glad to see that he won't be setting a killer course but an enjoyable route with achievable distances. i think there are a few wives or woman that this will appeal to ??
  13. http://www.drevilclassic.com/
  14. new 3 day stage race being hosted in Plett/Knysna including karoo2coast as the 3 and final day and being hosted by Leon Evans @DrEvil,the nice thing is that day's 2 and 3 are simular routes to the old epic course that went from Knysna to Uniondale. Seems nice, what do you think ?
  15. I see that Dr Evil has committed to a moderate and enjoyable stage race
  16. don't know if you have seen Dr Evil (Leon Evans) stage race with karoo2coast being the last day looks nice

  20. from the article,MET reckon 8 years We are often asked 'For how long is a helmet safe?', or 'how often should I replace my helmet?”' Until now it has been difficult to find any reliable figures to help answer these queries. MET have now developed a series of tests which are conducted on aged helmets to determine a 'best before' date (unless the helmet is involved in an accident. In that case it should be replaced immediately.). The results indicate that, if used properly accordingly to our owner manual, our helmets will still do their job up to eight years after they have been made. Not only is that good news for the customer, it’s great news for the environment!" so therefore does a helmet have a lifespan ?
  21. motorbike helmets definitely have an expiry date,I looked at my shoei helmets expiry date today. that is what got me thinking about the bike helmets, the motorbike helmet material goes brittle over time and it looses it's ability to cushion the impact.
  22. Ok,so i know that motorbike helmets have an expiry date stamped on the inside of the helmet. (normally 5 years from date of manufacture) Do bicycle helmets also have an expiry date ?
  23. totally agree, mountain bikers have always been the forerunners in cycling development when it comes to new products and ideas..........650 b is coming in a big way ......... whatch this space !
