  1. LOL! If you are the Isaac that is listed ahead of me on the GC and after me in the % bunch standings - I did finish ahead of you Nice race though
  2. You got any of the racing ladies (%) bunch? More specific, AllanGray kit, Red and white bike, white head tube bicycle.
  3. I know of a couple that do Ironman and they use clinchers on their Willier Tristena's with Cosmic Carbone wheels.
  4. I am assuming that it is in JHB area?
  5. hey, hey, hey! I came 3rd Strange that it shows in general results that I came in after the Isaac dude but in the start group, I finished ahead of him. On the line, I was definitely ahead of him....... It was a tough race!
  6. Glad it wasn't you that took a tumble and big up's for going back to assist with your fallen team mate!
  7. Missed you out there Az! At least this time I didn't fade towards the end and took 3rd place in my group
  8. Piet se fiets, Flandria, BMT - those are the bike shops I can think of off hand.
  9. there I fixed it
  10. Someone had posted a photo on facebook a while back - Bonnievale cellars shared it, but the road didn't look that bad at the time. Guess the added rains made it worse.
  11. The only hole in the road I know of is the one between Ashton and the Drew turnoff, which doesn't affect the race route, but does affect how you get there. If you are coming from the N1, when going through Robertson, head towards Bonnievale and follow the race route to Swellendam.
  12. Yeah - and my garmin stats say I did just under 60Km/h (59. odd) at one point!
  13. I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's circuit race (being so tiny and all. LOL!). Lack of climbs with hard and fast racing is fun. I chased a few breaks early on in the race but always got left in the lurch (20m plus) off the front when the teams just backed off not to chase down their own riders and the solo riders backing off to conserve energy. After a few 'mistakes' like that, I just sat in and enjoyed the race. LOVED IT!
  14. That new bit of road is awesome and definitely makes it safer by cutting out the the turn at Dal Josaphat Stadium! Super smooth and fast.
  15. For future reference, the race distance is NEVER what they advertise..... it's always short of the full spec.
  16. Well, I had a bad winter. Rain on weekends or skydiving on a good day and being left with a rainy day to ride in (and didn't ride). Broken back spoke 25Km in didn't help my cause either...... but I pushed through and finished. Not a good time though G-Man has been working hard at it and it shows. He has a more structured program and goes out weekday mornings. He is strong now Think I just need to apply a bit of Rule #5.
  17. Question to those that may know - how do you know how many started? I want to compare it to how many finished the race in my category.
  18. Random guess........ considered another jersey but decided it was easily spot-able from the side lines.
  19. At least my result would be better.......
  20. *fixed it
  21. Complete Cyclist...... really neat shop and good coffee and muffins
  22. do the 661 knee/shin guards not work? cwc has them on special at the moment - http://www.cwcycles....o-kneeshin-2011 Edit: a single unit is better than two separate units - it leaves space for movement and could leave that open space vulnerable.
  23. Update: PPA has it as follows (but no website links) - Sat 6 Oct Engen Dynamic MTB Challenge Sun 7 Oct Engen Dynamic Cycle Challenge
