I'm struggling with the age old question, to buy a TT bike or not. I have a oldish but descent (2009 Raleigh RC7000) road bike with a Ultegra 10 speed. Not the lightest bike around but it works. Only started doing triathlon last year, and did my first IM70.3 in Durban. Now the gogga has bitten me, and up next is the IM70.3 in Durban, IM70.3 in East London, and then the Full IM in PE in 2020. I have tri bars on the road bike, and I have a really comfortable setup and my cycling times are not bad. Aiming for 2:50 bike in Durban and hopefully 5:40 overall. Every fiber in me tells me that the TT bike will not make such a big difference, and to focus more on my running, but the N+1 in me just wants to buy a TT machine.... Any suggestions?
