  1. Hahaha, funny. Indigo, I think that following the priciples above, you could end up with R 199 800.00. Wasn't the Eiffel Tower sold for scrap metal by fraudsters twice? Edit : This guy... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_LustigMark C2009-06-11 02:18:07
  2. Post a photo, so someone doens't have to move this topic... Cool thought though!
  3. I rode past just after it happened. Overheard the lady from the combi saying to him that 'the council will buy him a new bike'. Happy to be witness to that statement! Glad he's ok. Could have been a lot worse.
  4. My bike is already specified and insured with Outsurance. Anyone know if it automatically qualifies for the benefits?
  5. Oh right. Well hopefully colonel will let us know. Thanks
  6. Ah right. That's what I though. Thanks for the help. Sorry for the partial hijack Peperman!
  7. Thanks ewep & Kriek That makes sense! Kriek, your reference to 'working pulse' makes this method more accurate in my opinion. Do heart rate monitors take this into account?
  8. Hi Peperman Don't want to hijack your thread but was wondering if someone could explain how the percentage of heart rate is calculated. Is is a straight percentage of your estimated maximum or something a little more complicated? Surely the resting heart rate should be taken into account?
  9. I've tried them on and they don't seem to fit quite right. Guess it's just the way they're cut... Went for the trusty Anatomic bib.
  10. As every professional sniper knows... you pull the trigger between heartbeats. Ensures a smooth trigger action.

Sincerest condolences to his family and friends. He was and will remain an inspiration to myself and many others.

    That's pretty funny!
  14. I think that it helps if you are experienced and can ride in a straight line. Listening to music (loudly ) makes you more aware to ride a decent line, look around and signal correctly. If some idiot motorist is going to drive into you, there's not much you can do about it, even if you weren't listening to music. I don't listen to music in group rides or races because there's a lot more verbal communcation which I'd rather hear!
  15. I agree. Listening to music does add another dimention to riding and makes a nice change of riding routine. There's sooo much good music out there that I sometimes I think I could ride forever. Absolutely love Ants Marching and All Along The Watchtower from the DMB Live at Red Rocks album.
  16. Any chance you could post the picture which was attached? That may answer some questions...
