  1. I can endorse this. I have also had fantastic service from them.
  2. Thanks Dipslick. Do you know of a retailer in Gauteng?
  3. Hi All. I want to treat myself to good quality bib shorts. My budget is around R2k to R3k. My problem is that I am battling to get my size. I'm 195cm and weigh 110kg. The Assos brand's 3XL is way to small for me and Craft are also far to small. Can anyone guide me on what brand that is high end sells larger sizes. I currently use local brands such as First Ascent that fit me fine, but I would like to get something a bit better. Thanks in advance.
  4. That's very useful. Thanks.
  5. Noakes agrees with you on this. I'm a Coke Light addict, so this issue has interested me. How can zero calories make you fat? I don't get this. Please shed some light on this.I have googled this extensively.
  6. I really suffered on Saturday, but what an excellent event. Well done Advendurance.
  7. For me the Cyclops IDT beats the Wattbike. There is very little difference in the quality, but the service by the Cycleops guys cleans up.
  8. My googling shows that most of the pemmican recipes add dried cranberries and raisins for flavour, that seems to me to be contradictory to the whole point of the recipe. What do you use for flavour?
  9. Yes, I was wondering how it becomes hard. Thanks for the recipe. I also found this http://scdlifestyle.com/2013/02/bacon-pemmican-the-ultimate-paleo-travel-food/ which adds coconut oil, that, as you know, gets hard in moderate remperatures. I'll let you know.
  10. Noakes seems to think Pemmican is even better and easier to eat when exersizing. I've looked around the web a bit more now and it looks quite simple to make. I'm going to try do something tonight.
  11. Hi All. I see on talkfeed.co.za, Tim Noakes is recommending Pemmican as a snack food. Have any of you tried it and where can I get some? I had no joy googling this.
  12. Yes. You need to download the Cycleops Virtual Trainer app and it works perfectly. They do charge a fee though.
  13. That is where the Android falls down. You can't download trainerroad onto Android.
  14. I use the Andtoid. Works perfect.
  15. I am also on the Cycleops IDT (the 410) and I cannot agree with you more. The service is outstanding. The Sufferfest videos interest me. They seem expensive and I don't want buy one without comfort that it will work seamlessly. I use an Android Galaxy app that works well with my IDT. Do the Sufferfest videos apply the resistance automatically like the Cycleops virtual trainer videos? And does the music also come with the video? I'd appreciate your guys help.
  16. I have a very similar dilemma to you. As much as I would like to cycle like Chris Froome, I really don't want to look like him. I train on my bike or IDT five times a week (or at least shoot for that) and try do a weights session (upper body) for 1h15min once a week. This is, of course, not ideal, but it goes some way.
  17. Nope. I'm using Chrome and I can't get in. Are these guys serious about their business?
  18. I also did it last night. Hectic, hectic. IF of 1.04! I must say though that I made it which made me chuffed. Any idea where we can get more workouts like these?
  19. I have an aluminium Comp Epic Frame that I have claimed twice on in the last three years as a result of cracks in the frame (I'm a big fat guy). I used Concept Cyclery in Melrose Arch and they delivered on the warranty impeccably. This last claim, however, really confused me. I told them that instead of coming back in a few months time for another claim, I will pay and upgrade to a carbon frame. Specialized, not Melrose Arch, declined this. I cannot understand this logic. Why be so silly about something like this?
  20. I really hope there will be a recording of this. I agree that this will be fascinating.
  21. I'm with you on this one. Mark has changed the way I train, giving me a lot more time, because of the shorter training time, to get on with my life. I certainly feel a lot stronger, but I am a little worried about going against the mainstream thought of "time in the saddle". What is also interesting, is that he a a nutritionist as a partner. He apparently advocates a low carb diet, but also a low fat diet. I just can't see a diet like that being sustainable.
  22. You just need to follow the prompts on the website.
  23. I had a Powercal strap for about a year now. I'm not convinced. Apparently the longer the ride, the more accurate it is (i.e. greater than 2 1/2 hours). The quality of the product isn't great either.
