  1. Yes get your facts straight, they are only more expensive than CWC 99% of the time!
  2. After reading many post lately of road rage, muggings , stolen bikes, drivers chasing cyclists in the Cape I don't blame you, it used to sound so safe and peaceful there!
  3. Sad news, I saw some with booties on at the Sabie
  4. Just say we all agreed to that, then some mtb'ers would argue about sram or shimano , lycra or baggies, to shave or not to shave, flat bars or risers-for people so in tune with nature and just wanting to have fun you (some of us mtb'ers ) bitch a hell of a lot :oJ.F.R
  5. Agree with TNT and Bat-ass. +1 I HAVE CYCLED ROAD FROM 1987 AT SCHOOL, HAD MY FIRST MTB IN 1995 AND NOT UNTIL RECENTLY HAVE I HEARD SUCH JUDGEMENTAL BITCHING AND MOANING ABOUT EVERYTHING BY MTB'ERS! J.F.R...JUST F.....G RIDE!
  6. Ghost bikes also said that they were not going the 29er route in the near future................
  7. Thanx
  8. A few questions that I could not find answered on previous posts. I thought Joe's and Stan's were originally both amonia based and not latex based, true? I think that I heard that one of them is now latex based, true? Can you mix different brands of sealants if they are both latex based? CO2 bombs don't dry up latex based sealants? And if you get a side wall puncture too big for sealant, do you put a patch on inside of tyre or do you use a plug? Thanx
  9. +1
  10. Thanx
  11. No one bought these???

    2012 XT

Jaco just how did you come to this scientific conclusion, was it from sram's ultra difficult to bleed and un-reliable, fading avid brakes? Read Drongos post , and see if the sram is less reliable how can you have better performance? I have sram X0 9speed and it is no better than XT!
  14. Eldron That sounds good to me, but even more interesting would be a graph that I spoke to Dangle about, the one that shows people who swore off 29er's and have now converted... I know of plenty!
  15. Hey Grumpy There has already been a 27.5" tested here and basically it was said that there was not enough benefit over the 26" wheel to justify a change.
  16. +1 That's so true and I think a lot of guys were thinking that when buying a 29er, how much technical single track with switch backs will we be doing 5-10% of our ride if we are really lucky.Well then 29er just makes more sense as it suits 90+ % of our ride.

  18. What do you mean a 29er is not ideal.......Just kiddin
  19. Actually it's only 1.5" further to fall right?
  20. 29er easy.
  21. +1 That's what happened to me......as another hubber mentioned you can't hydrate enough with cycling and creatine.
  22. Slooooooooooooow
  23. Hi Zula Are you by any chance one of those bad ass trail riders, or should I say wannabe motor cross riders who come fully kitted to a trail and complain or gloat because they are faster than the xc riders on their 29er's downhill on single track? Well just a word, you might be faster on the 4km of downhill singletrack but that's also because the xc riders know that they have 90km to go with 2000m of climbing on their ride,so they take it as less of a sprint. If you and those like you are really excelling at downhill singlet rack then enter a ...... downhill race and lets see the results! Or are you just trying to justify buying a heavy trail bike to take on a 4km piece of single track, and then crawling back up again to repeat? I of course am trying to justify my 29er that I now hate, because you guys said that they are just a fad......NOT 29er's rule.
  24. +1 Well said.
