I know 29" tyres are scarce, but does anyone have these?

Great route, awesome game to see but tough as hell...

I have ridden the Continental Race King rear and Mountain King front on my 29er, I have had 2 side wall cuts in the rear but I'm sure that could happen on any tyre? I am considering changing the rear to a X King for more grip as Sabie is often wet, any comments?

Omnimotion has had the race for 12 years and well done to them, but I remember last years race where everything was set out at Rietvlei by Wendell, and Omnimotion only pitched up just before the race started! Having chatted to someone at a local bike shop, I heard that they had still not been paid by Omnimotion for winning their category at last years 24 hour! I left Demitri from Omnimotion 2 messages regarding last years race which he never returned! A shorter lap at Rietvlei will make it more spectator friendly, and an improved camp site will make it more viby too. PS I believe that Wendell has done 24 hour events since the 80's, and organizes bike and running races monthly! Sorry I am clearly biased. GO RIETVLEI!

There will be a Coffee & Muffin ride this Sunday the 30th October at Thaba Trails at 7am. The entrance fee is the usual R30, but will include your freshly baked Rocky Road and Mud Trail muffins from Tod who bakes on the premises. There will also be coffee for your caffeine fix. There is a 6km yellow (fairly easy) route, and a 20km green ( intermediate with tough sections) available. The idea is to introduce more people to this wonderful trail, which has Zebra, Wildebees, Springbok, Impala and more. For more info you can call Wendell on 0829000749.
