I've also been man down. A stint in hospital, 5 weeks off the bike, lost 5kgs and left over lung infection. Not exactly sure if I should do the event.. any medics out there with advice? Gonna take a pedal, tomorrow and see how that goes / make a call. If no go then you might have another volunteer on your hands!

Paul and Phill are being damn annoying today. I used to love them but they really should be put to pasture. Where is S.Kelly when you need him! That crash came from a QS rider on the left swerving massively when out of the saddle. Everyone else moved right to avoid wheels until space ran out for Kristoff, Rowe etc. Nice to see Wout there, EF Drapac have been quiet but have numbers, GVA is looking either strong or bouncing about, EBH keeps being there.

He had 11 wins in his first season. Hummm, what else?

I'm the first to say 'accidents happen' but it's not a great start to the season for Cav' and a crash in his last 3 race days isn't exactly setting up the season well. I watched the footage again and while I think there should have been a marshal on that bit of road furniture I can't see why Cav' cut across following the EF - Cannonade rider. If he'd stayed on his line it would have been tight but there was enough room on the left. Nasty crash but good that he's not worse off.

Spez' seem to suffer from the over stating issue that Maxxis have as well. That 2.6 butcher I checked yesterday was only really about a 2.4 and looked on par (if not a little slimmer) that my old Ibex 2.4. Quite annoyed they aren't making the Slaughter in 2.6 for 29'rs. Kingdom the sh*t out of them!
