Innov8 Fanny pack - R250 with bottle? Nah... value? Now that is a relative thing. I got a Deuter one for R395 with source bladder (best bladders eva!) from camp and climb that was super cheap but was a bit of a dog fit wise. It was cheap but wasn't the best value as an experience. I've got a Mule that I got on special for R1100 and I'm not a fan at all. I searched high and low for a Dakine Drifter for ages before getting the camelbak and then Stressed Eric posted one for sale here: https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/271522-dakine-drafter-12l-hydration-pack/ as it's a hell of a pack and great ventilation, storage, carrying capabilities etc. I'd swap out my Mule in a heartbeat. People love their Evocs as well... Back protection would be great in a new pack but I have a seperate back protector. Pinned.co.za had some Leatt DBX 10L with back protector at 50% off the other day but they look very burly on the front and hot.

SBG Patrols & Sentinels have landed, Smugglers will only be in SA around March. Not sure about the new Scouts. Keen to check the differences, initial reviews of Smuggers overseas and Patrols are sounding pretty awesome. There are some good back to back tests / reviews of the old and the new versions on youtube that I've checked recently.

The fitting is the easy bit... now I have 4 different adjustments to f*up, a preload to worry about and still have to get a buddy to whip out a ruler and measure the sag while I sit on it. #oldstyle.

Good build! Stick with the Cura's. They are great brakes and are powerful enough that they are used on the Pro DH circuit. Keep them, get them bedded in and you'll be glad you did.

I've got a 160mm Mattoc Pro that is lounging in the UK and I was going to send back for a refund and that bad boy was about R7K odd as far as I remember.

Aramex... for about R250 or $20 - $50 from their options. Shock was about R4300. Got springs else where for R350 for the steel so got a couple as they were the only ones left.

Holy cow that takes me back. I had an orange one that was epic. Bought it off a guy in a council flat in north London who was about 120kgs and said that he wasn't into riding anymore and wanted to money to buy a pit bull for his 3 year old daughter. Those were the days you never even thought about servicing a fork or a rear shock. Just rode it, washed it rode it though all kind of component eating sludge, didn't wash it, rode it some more, repeated. That water bottle cage placement was a disaster waiting to happen.
