  1. Try not shoot this guy...
  2. And, as I heard on the radio that Ali is in failing health, it's worth publishing the controversial St Sebastian cover...
  3. Hahahaha! I think it was the Butterfly in the title of the book I posted that threw you! Something else I read recently. Got it at an Exclus1ves sale, I think. Some entertaining snippets about what went into the famous covers...
  4. The Boeing 747-400 used to have a "secret" doorway to the drew quarters at the back. Kooked quite cosy. LWB, is the A340's a removal container? Years ago, we had a Qantas 747-200 come in, and it had a weird config in that the catering was loaded in containers, accessed by a lift. At that stage we'd never catered a plane like that. Took some elbow grease to get it loaded!
  5. Dragon Tattoo?
  6. You know those books you've always meant to read but just never did? This is one I got at the market the other day. Fascinating read!
  7. Now if it were Brakpan...
  8. CPA is pretty clear about it. Warranties on grey products have to be covered by the person/concern that sold it to you.
  9. There was some commentary when the CPA became law that it had envisaged covering that type of scenario. But I don't think the legislation was strong enough to do so in the end. Would make for an interesting test case though.
  10. Agreed. Have it in four-part trade paperback. There was a box set going at the time I got it, but it was just way too expensive. I liked painted comics...Muth's work is pretty awesome too...
  11. Oops, wrong thread...
  12. Ja, me too! I have quite a lot of his graphic novels...this two-part is among my faves...
  13. Must try get a print of this one day... Alex Ross' Oscars poster...
  14. Comic overs...now there's a thing! Alex Ross rocks...!
  15. Opus, as always, has it all spot-on...
  16. From Twitter... Poppy Mathobela ‏@PopMathobela 7h7 hours agoA book store where books are wrapped in paper with short descriptions so no 1 will judge a book by it's cover. this
  17. But you are Hairy...now I am completely lost. ..
  18. Oh my sack! It is confusing...
  19. If you know that history of the case, you will no doubt be aware of the costly start, then abrupt halt to it years ago. It was not a strong case, and I very much doubt the commission or tribunal paid any attention to what was said on the hub, and merely used the minutes posted as a start point. Hub discussions wouldn't make for credible evidence
  20. Ja, I have seen that percentage spoken of, but there are other factors to be weighed up too.
  21. Haha! Good analogy. What I can't get my head around is how they came to the amount. If the duration of the collusion is one of the determining factors used in the calculation of a penalty, the amount does seem on the high side.
