  1. I ended up getting one of those baskets...fitted it yesterday. Ruby did not approve, but I did try to make her look small in this pic... .
  2. Those pics remind me a bit of the Obie book called Karoo I read some time back.
  3. I'll have a look this arvo. Ta fo the tip.
  4. No! But just did a quick search...seems he could be a Marley & Me type of writer. Love the titles! Any online resource for his columns?
  5. Any suggestions on a "beefy" crank? Preferably square taper.
  6. A scene from the inaugural Nesquik Rampage maybe?
  7. I stand corrected, but I think it's a 680mm.
  8. This was a market find from a while ago. Quick, easy read about a young white trashy couple. Enjoyed it, even if the characters seemed a bit more intelligent that perhaps Hawke wanted them to be.
  9. Luckily I have (p)oodles of patience... These two were mostly well behaved...if a tad spirited...!
  10. Welcome to Monday, everyone...
  11. Came across The Victorian Secret's new delivery bike today... Thought I would take just one bag with me to the market to keep my spend down... ...but that was a fail...
  12. Doing great, thanks! Although the sun's just gone down and the cold creeping in...unlike your long eves at the moment. Loving your pics. Very wistful. Scrabo dominated the landscape of my very young years. It was off-limits when I was a kid. The reasons given varied...it was haunted, it was a secret police base, etc... but the most likely was that it was dangerous! It was surrounded by scaffolds. My late mum-in-law returned from a visit there with a framed sketch of Scrabo for me some years back. Keep them pics coming!
  13. I was typing about a bike and took a pic of a pic of the bike on the screen and got the bike in the reflection :-)
  14. My mates have a habit of leaving hounds with me while they browse the monthly Urban Market. These little "Tiffanys" belong to my mate Nat-Nat. They are Gaia and Khaos...
  15. We stop where it says "STOP"... Brrrr cold, but they love their predawn runs. No leashes required...usually.
  16. When I saw the second pic I thought it might be Scrabo, but that's bigger, I think...what and where is it?
  17. Try track stand that thing...
  18. The first pic is how it'll run - slapped a bullhorn on it just to test it out after we finally bodged a solution to a long-standing issue with a disobedient coaster hub and worn dropouts at the shop yesterday. It's quite a cheapie bar: from Ryder at about R275, I think.
  19. It's up and running, but still some stuff to do... I ended up with a new saddle...bloddy thing cost about two-thirds of what I paid for the whole bike, but it sorta matched the colour...
  20. Ja, it was the movie I picked up. Like I said, good story, but I thought the movie was a bit on the lame side. Got me reading up more about her. :-)
  21. Also hit the Country Club trails :-)
  22. I take the dodge cake...I have the cufflinks...
  23. Picked up a copy of Soul Surfer in a bargain bin at Spar, and it was kinda cheesy, but Bethany Hamilton's story was pretty cool... http://bethanyhamilton.com/
  24. Oops... Hey, it's Ah-nuld, anything's possible...
