  1. Damn, and here I've been practicing my bunny hops for the holes and burning tyres
  2. More motivation to ride faster
  3. Is it me or did Tyler look and act like he was stoned or certainly has been on the green stuff for some time?
  4. Pretty Impressive, CWC are now selling BMW motorbikes as well now! ( although chaps,I don't think it's a first in SA, I've seen loads around. Just a tip)
  5. Damn, thanks Fabes.
  6. Has anyone heard if Engen Race has been cancelled for tomorrow?
  7. Engen race on Sunday is going to be lousy, thunderstorms and 47km easterly wind.
  8. I'm finding it's loading better with Chrome as opposed to IE
  9. Leon, I imagine you do not cycle hence becoming a member of the Hub at 11;23 obviously with the express desire to show the world what a fine responsible upstanding citizen your friend is. Most of us at some stage have been seriously intoxicated at some stage of our lives, however hopefully most of us have a moral responsibility not to drive in that state, I don't care how trashed you are you still know the difference between right and wrong. Yes he made a mistake as you so eloquently put it, but most decent people ( if they allowed themselves to drive) would stop and get out, try help, phone an ambulance or whatever. Your little friend then drove a great distance to evade the scene and obvious implications. As for the t-shirt, regardless of whether he had it beforehand ( which I seriously doubt) he also had the opportunity to put something on over it. It will be an exercise in futility to ask how you would feel if it was a member of your family taken out by a drunken driver as you seem to feel the need to defend him and condone his leaving the scene. Whilst I imagine you are not the least bit concerned, can you imagine how Clem's family feel seeing your outstanding example on decency wearing that shirt after their loved one has been killed by him? I shouldn't imagine it would cross your mind but more importantly going through the motions of becoming a member with the sole purpose of expressing your venomous tirade against a number of people that are disgusted by the amount of people, not just cyclist's but women, children, men, black, white, whole families that are wiped out in an instant by someones total disregard for their actions and what might come from driving drunk.
  10. This is truly so sad, we all partake in a sport that we love but besides the inevitable crashes and bike jackings we have to endure this as well? Well done Bennie on posting this excrement's car
  11. I saw an article in either Bicycle or Tread magazine yesterday where they rate it. I've got one and think it's brilliant given the price and what components you get with it.
  12. Silverback always worthwhile with good components too
  13. Keeping good quality Gin in mine seems to work quite well, although I can't remember how many races I"ve finished.....
  14. Oh no doubt they're probably made by some under aged asian kid down the road. No question there
  15. Thanks for all the help guys, after much swearing and blaming my wife for everything in the evolution of man I tried the wiggle story and it seems to work. Was under the impression you simply pushed down and clipped in, not realizing a certain amount of wiggle was needed.
  16. I did lube the cleats as well, are the screws on the sides not for the float? Will that effect clipping in? I know they'll loosen up but they seem ridiculously tight at the moment
  17. The bike store fitted them for me, so I assume they're done correctly. They do click in eventually but thats with me standing with one leg supported on the ground. Can't see how I can get both in once I start riding
  18. Hello all, Bought a pair yesterday and nearly pulled a hernia trying to get into them. Has anybody else experienced this? I realise it will take time to wear in but at this rate I'm using what little strength I have just trying to get into them nevermind actually riding.
  19. I couldn't agree more about the climbs, last year was my first and I was convinced halfway through that they had got the profiles the wrong way round as it seemed I spent my life climbing. Saying that I will def do it again and hope to improve on the 5:16 I did last year. The only real hassle is the problem of logistics in getting the car to Knysna.
  20. Talented but immature. And a bit of a knob
  21. Thanks guys, really chuffed with this.
  22. Even though I can't be bothered to enter competitions, by chance I entered one in Ride Magazine. I was fortunate to win and have just received a pair of Salomon shoes, cycling jersey, cap and brilliant Saloman backpack. Thanks guys, really appreciated.
  23. Changed to a 29 Silverback Vida 1 , feels much faster but the only thing I have found is climbing a lot more difficult on a 29'er.
