  1. No, Tour de France editions,eg 2010,2011 start at R2999 for resin and go up to R3750 for s/steel 2011 edition. This particular model is the top of the range series due to limited edition.
  2. Started off as a Swiss brand, moved to Spain in 1980.
  3. R5650. Only 2000 were made. I have one in stock ( I'm a jeweller)
  4. Came across as a really nice guy, considering obvious talent he's very down to earth.
  5. Own 4 TDF Festina's 4 Citizen Eco Drives, 3 Police, 1 Jacques Lemans F1,Casio Ediface, 2xCasio G Shock, 2 Timex,and a Camel Trophy.
  6. Wasn't that a Chopper?
  7. Mark, Once again thanks for all the advice and taking the time to answer.
  8. Hello Mark, Been using 32gi for last 18 months, find it very effective. You gave advice for me using it through DC last year which I did, how would this new version compare for that type of event or should one use it for 100km and less in races?
  9. That is just farrrrrrrrr too gorgeous. My Tarmac has a very long career ahead of it before it can aspire to that level. Enjoy, as I'm sure you will. Congrats.
  10. Wish we had this option with marriage as well
  11. Falls into the same category as how much we really paid for our bikes as to what our spouses think we paid?
  12. Sorry TNT, as you will see I apoligised for my ignorence in the matter. I think most folks got the type of question I asked. I just was unsure as to buy XT,SLX or whatever.
  13. Thanks, that makes it a lot simpler and easier to understand!
  14. Hello Guys, excuse my ignorence but what is the difference between XT, Xt Deore, SLX and so on? Am new to MTB'ng and know something of road groupsets but want to buy a new MTB bike. I gather XT is slightly better than SLX ? but what is the Deore XT and so on? Any thoughts will be most welcome
  15. Naming the shop for good service would be worthwhile as well
  16. I'm sorry, but what the hell difference does it make?? Have we not moved on from this type of bigotry in the last few years? This country and the world are in a shocking state and you're asking this kind of nonsense?
  17. Prices are good but I've learnt the painful way that you will get nailed 45% plus vat, plus god knows what else they add on. I've ordered a fair amount of clothes and have come to realise that unless the price is that good with all the extra fees then it's worth it. However prepare yourself for a great deal of extra fees.
  18. Just to add my two cent here, but up until last week I was looking at getting one, decided on the Strides one which while a little heavier, it's a heck of a lot more secure and stable. The thing I liked was not having to clamp the top tube of a carbon frame. Have a look at www.strides.co.za. The chap I dealt with is Mark, very helpful guy.
  19. I agree, a huge hats-off to all those responsible for getting Carte Blanche to do this. Well done guys and thank you.
  20. Iphone wins with their apps every time. It's the apps that make the iphone so desirable.
  21. I feel these chaps have a good range as well as prices. Try www.rackandcarry.co.za
  22. Excuse me 'Puncher', but why does he 'need help' when he is expressing a very valid point?
  23. Anything that is served by Salma Hayek would be fine, really.
  24. That's strange as our crew leave from there at the same time every Tue and Thursday
  25. I received mine yesterday and although I'm pleased with it I feel the velcro holding the battery pack in place should have a better design as the velcro is going to scratch the carbon after a while, and the stem is too short to attach it to. Going to have to use a piece of leather over the carbon prior to wrapping the velcro around.
