i have moved to a 29er (giant anthem) for about 18 months now and must say i enjoy it as it suits me well. i have done some upgrades including wheels which are hope hubs and ztr crest rims. i do notice that the ride feel is more flexy than my 26 stumpy - i think it is mostly in the wheels. as things go i am thinking of new bikes etc. my question is re- 29er wheels: any opinions about stiffness of these and what to look at?

what a race! very tense - i was probably as exhausted as Burry. He rode like a champion. You did South Africa and South African MTBrs proud - well done Burry.

the science on this is far from exact and in many ways boil down to expert opinion - however what is clear that running on these blades is not a huge advantage as seen in the fact that no other athlete on them has come close to qualifying.
