Metal note to self (and to everybody else for that matter). When you are sick, you are sick. Dont try to bulldust yourself into thinking that all is okay, its above the neck. I felt that I was getting sick last week. But I was determined to do a proper ride on Saturday. I woke up Saturday feeling really under the weather. But I went into robot mode and rode 185km off road. Got home and I wasnt feeling well at all. But..... on Sunday morning I woke up and felt that spinning the effects of the previous days ride out of the pistons was essential. So, feeling like death warmed up I went and did a 50km ride. By Sunday evening I knew that I had stuffed up big time. It cost me a week of being sick and unable to function properly and eventually going on an antibiotic drip. Today for the first time, I feel a bit better. It isnt worth it, when sick, rest, sort it and then carry on. I really feel as if I have damaged myself with a stupid decision. Doc has banned me from riding until he says that I am okay to ride again. Seeing him tomorrow so I hope that he gives the go ahead.
