amf has internal cabling and bb30 bottombracket where the promotion has a normal bb and normal external cabling. you do get a adapter for the amf to go from bb30 to standard. i'm also in stellenbosch if you want to check out my amf29, pm me cheers

i love working on my bike, but greasy hands afterwards can be a real pain! a simple trick that works well is to rub your hands with a bit of degreaser beforehand, and let it dry. this creates a layer and your hands are much easier to clean any tips or tricks for clean hands afterwards that you want to share?

got my x9 more than a year ago, never touched them ever since. must admit x0 are beter, try to get the x0 shifters atleast, they go for R630 at CWC. i assume you have 9speeds 'cause of the gripshifts, why not go fullout to 10speed? even if you have to wait a while. Full groupsets R5500 for SLX and R6999 for x9. I don't know how good the support for higher end 9speed parts are going to be in the near future

i took my dad's 29er for a spin in jonkershoek today! awesome at singletrack! unlucky for me back to my 26er again as for the tyres: both maxxis, aspen exception on front, ikon exc exo protection at the back, both superb!!

will give feedback on the aspen/ikon 29er. the guys that have the aspens on their 26ers love them

Jho man, I wouldn't opt for something like that, that shock and fork won't help with any bumps, aswell as the drivetrain. It's ok for varsity, but so is a rigid bike. Recommendation: post a wanted add on thehub with your max budget, you never know what might pop up! Thumbs up for wanting to try out mountainbiking, you'll love it

+1 core could be loose or seal not doing its job. What happened to me before is that when you unscrew the pump, you lose a lot of air (crappy pump). It had a bigger effect on the negative because the chamber is much smaller than the positive air chamber
