  1. Cassette replaced in January. Maybe 500km on it. Chain is not even close to 0.25 yet. Derailleur was installed in March. Cable and housing replaced in April somewhere.
  2. I've tried setting the b-screw at sag, extended, and fully compressed. Hanger is 100% straight. I have the alignment tool. Cable routing could be the culprit... It is one continuous housing running externally. Short section in the seat stay that is internal. Using the fancy Jagwire housing and cables.
  3. 👌
  4. fUnNy
  5. 3 different cassettes. Same issue.
  6. GX is just peachy. Running the new Lunar with zero issues. I have however given up completely on smooth shifts with my Evil. No amount of B screw tweaking sorts out the issue with middle of the cassette ticks and missed shifts. I think it is just what it is and I'll live with it. Did it with Shimano XT/XTR as well...
  7. I don’t see an ethics problem. It is engineered to work a certain way and there will be a good reason for wiring it the way it was. Lithium batteries… I will definitely not mess around with wiring. I’ve seen the damage a single 18650 cell can do.
  8. Now put one of those Capcha things in where you have to find Waldo.
  9. Imagine the drama when 2FA is added.
  10. I've heard of clutches coming straight out of the factory with zero grease. Shocking for a part that costs R6000.
  11. Had exactly the same. That dead spot. I thought it was just my bike's design that was noisy. It was dead quiet after installing the GX derailleur. Also serviced mine multiple times to resolve the issue. The clutch was always grabby regardless of how it was serviced and adjusted.
  12. XTR Quality…. less than a year old and not a single scratch on it. Carbon cage split open Shitmano refused to warranty it.
  13. This may or may not be relevant but is the contact point your sitting bones make with the saddle in the same spot in relation to the top of the seatpost? This may have shifted your fore or aft position on the saddle slightly?
  14. I wish they would stop over branding their products.
  15. Oh dear. I’ve made this mistake before.
  16. I’m prone to saddle sores on the IDT. 3 x 1 hour sessions a week and it’s game over. 2 x 2.5 hour sessions on the trail and no problem. I hate the IDT. Stupid hamster wheels
  17. I’ve seen those. Not the best quality.
  18. My salesman organised it for me but I ordered a second one from kiaparts.co.za. Wont recommend them. Get the part number from them and order at the dealer.
  19. Boot Butler from Kia. Fits gear for two and costs less than R300. Money well spent.
  20. What are the trails like just above Knysna Called Concordia Contours on Trailforks.
  21. I'm all for personal preference but stating that clipless is used to prevent feet from slipping off a pedal isn't 100% correct. Like me saying "I use flat pedals so I don't fall over every time I stop"
  22. I don't agree with you at all there. Correct technique combined with the right pedal and shoe gives you more than enough grip to not slip off a pedal. As for comfortable... subjective.
  23. Return the shoes to them and order a pair of shoes from Trailtech Cycles specifically for flat pedals. Leatt makes a few options that will work. Personal and unpopular opinion: Clipless is not worth the money and effort unless you are pushing big miles, race, or you feel that attaching your feet to a pedal will give you more confidence.
  24. Were you looking for a basic shoe that you can use on a flat pedal? Or, are you looking to switch to the clipless system?
  25. We raced downhill in the 90s on forks with 30mm stanchions. You really don't have anything to worry about. Especially not at your weight. Also nothing wrong with NX. Good honest piece of kit. Both bikes in the house have NX cassettes and they are really durable. Just a little heavy. Slap a dropper post on that bad boy and shred the gnar. Enjoy the bike.
