  1. Better be the deal of the century to go through all that admin. I’d be walking away but purely because I don’t like surprises with online purchases.
  2. Works for me. Except that one time someone said “is it still available?”
  3. But is it?
  4. Cameras are built to withstand a fair amount of abuse. I doubt carrying it in a padded bag will cause issues in the long run. It isn't subjected to continuous vibrations for days on end and mirrorless cameras also have fewer moving parts to worry about. I've put cameras through lots before on shoots and never an issue.
  5. Already carry a hip pack so that won't work for me.
  6. The Fuji should be plenty robust as long as it doesn't fall out of the bag. A friend dropped his in the ocean and it survived so I'm not too worried about the weather sealing. My Canon gear will stay safely at home through.
  7. My love of photography and cycling needs to come together. Taking photos with my phone is cool and all but I would like to take my Fuji XT3 with a 18mm pancake lens with me on rides. I find that putting it in my hip or backpack means I don't really take it out to take photos. Looking at a Relevate Mag-Tank 2000 to give me quick access and to keep it safe. What are you using in terms of gear and a bag to carry it in?
  8. But well taken care or second hand parts. Took a R900 knock on a derailleur with 100km on it. Been trying to sell it since Feb.
  9. Good idea. Replaced the one bike with a new one and updated the other. Significant value increase on both but at least the premium only went up by R150 in total.
  10. Built my bike for Rxx,xxx 2 years ago. Updated my insurance with the recent spate of robberies in Centurion and I fell off my chair to see how much the replacement value increased by. Like ouzo said, it is shocking everywhere unfortunately.
  11. Don't let Aramex charge you R1500. Follow this link: https://www.aramexglobalshopper.com/en/service-updates/49848/Aramex-Global-Shopper-Lifetime-Membership-for-USD-1-only The offer has expired by holding thumbs that the code still works. They do have a cheap basic membership if this doesn't work. You don't need the personal shopper thing.
  12. Either of the above will provide you with a shipping address to their warehouse. MyUS for example is in Florida. Velo Orange will send it there with USPS or whatever they offer. Once at the warehouse you will receive a notification that it is ready to ship. They will provide you with various shipping options and prices. You accept one and they do the rest.
  13. Aramex Global Shopper Postbox Courier MyUS Used all three in the past with good results. Aramex is the slowest of the three and Aramex in SA is not that pleasant to deal with, Might be the cheaper of the three though.
  14. Get these from Haribo. Guaranteed to make you ride 10x faster https://www.amazon.com/review/R2JGNJ5ZPJT4YC
  15. A peanut butter and jam sandwich, or banans to be honest or home made date bars with seeds, nuts, etc as wolver said.. If I really push a very long ride and I don't have space I use Scratch. I don't cheap out on nutrition.
  16. That is 9g of filler you aren’t eating. Be glad. USN and Biogen is garbage in my opinion.
  17. Calculated at around 100 hours but dropped it off for a full service now. Better safe than sorry. Fraction of the cost of a new fork.
  18. Is your quicklink the right way round? Sometimes this can be overlooked.
  19. I was also confused about this one. Tried it at both fully deflated and again at 30% sag. Neither worked on the Forbidden but 30% seemed to be the sweet spot for my Evil.
  20. Good to know. Thank you. Can they we worn out from about 6 months of use? Was replaced in November and they still look perfect. Noted on the burping with cable ties and use of alcohol.
  21. I put weight on the saddle and hung over using the camera on my phone to see the derailleur pulley. Not 100% accurate of graceful. Best to let air out of the shock and set it then. I chose not to do that since getting my shock back to 280psi is a massive pain.
  22. I initially worked from this SRAM tech video Seems like not all bikes are equal and this will mostly likely work for 90% of them. More wizardry advice will be great.
  23. White replaced the red one.
  24. Her tumble made me giggle a bit. He could have slowed down more though. As much space as there was between them it is the right thing to do.
