  1. Very good price indeed. Great brand. Just be very careful when shopping online. Lots of scams out there. Ask on powerforum.co.za if you’re unsure.
  2. Good price. I paid R25k per battery for 5.5kW units in December. Which brand is that?
  3. Took a 1.5l/100km knock behind the Sportage. Added up over 3000km.
  4. Beautifully written. Really puts this event back on my list.
  5. Kid shreds harder than me…. *puts bike up for sale to take up golf ⛳️
  6. I'll be the guy to forget to charge the damn battery or leave it on the charger and show up for a ride with a single speed. Long live cables for me. R50 a year to keep things shifting great.
  7. One thing I've learned... don't trust Trailforks. Last time we followed the route it ended up taking us through devil thorn hell and resulted in a 5km hike back to the car.
  8. It really is a network of guess work at times when you ride there. Finding the Greek Church and river trail isn't too bad but when you head out to concrete strips, oom piets etc it gets a little difficult. I've upgraded to a Garmin now so hopefully loading a GPX will help with navigating this.
  9. Definitely keen to try that mix. Drop per link and let it soak in followed by dry wiping the excess?
  10. The marketing and packaging.
  11. Just don’t use the insurance with Courier Guy. Read the T&Cs. They don’t cover second hand goods.
  12. Agree. Stick to XX1.
  13. Those trails are manicured. Some lovely climbs as well. Berms everywhere. Ran into the maintenance crew on Mineshaft and stopped to have a chat. All smiles and super proud of the work they do.
  14. We checked with the locals and the 3 we rode came recommended. GRTP apparently still has some sections that need maintenance. It was quite a drive out from Brenton as well so I didn’t want to risk it.
  15. Well worth taking the bikes down. Harkerville proved to be quite a big day out for us. Loved the downhills and it is hands down the most beautiful trail I've ever ridden. 10/10 will ride this again. Cairnbrogie was a complete blast with sections like Mineshaft, Old Coot, and Santa Cruz blowing my mind. Could easily keep hitting this place until I needed hip replacements. 100/10 will be riding this again. Best trail markings I've ever seen in my life. Insanely well maintained. Simola was disappointing unfortunately. Definitely need a local to show you around. Everything starts out great with Lamb into Monsters into Stolen Porridge. Picking up 7 Devils and Why to Why Not was easy enough but from there we just couldn't find anything else. A gravel grind back to the car saw us only doing 15km of trail which was sad. Trailforks didn't help much either.
  16. My Bossi wallet from the 90s sadly doesn’t have the contents to afford one of these beautiful creations.
  17. “Partner in crime”
  18. Berms, rollers, tables, g-outs, gnarly rock rolls. All carefully crafted together without the need to put in a single pedal stroke. And a good gravel grind in the forest. Smooth rolling roads would be the “feature”
  19. Some science and whatnots in there.
  20. Both bikes get clamped on the post once a week for pre-ride inspection and lube if needed. No cloths or anything. I make sure the clamps are 100% clean before mounting. More than 2 years of doing this and not even the slightest of marks on the posts. I’ve also left the bike dangling from the post for a couple of days when shocks or forks go in for a service. Dropper posts aren’t made of glass. They can take it.
  21. If the weight of the bike will bend a post then my fat ass would have bent it a long time ago.
  22. Anyone with some video, photos, write-up etc of these lines? Distance, tech grading, etc? Looking for something fun to ride.
  23. My feeling on this is that "if you have to ask then you won't notice the difference". I know I didn't. If you are jumping from an entry level damper to the top of the line dampers then you will definitely notice it.
  24. Looks like something that Fischer Price designed. Rather get a proper trainer. Kickr Snap is a good option.
