  1. Does the chain drop to the inside or outside of the chainring? My money is on the chain line being off.
  2. You could say…. it took a hell of a nox
  3. Into the Karkloof forests we went.
  4. Correct. You get a mowed lawn to setup on. Nothing else. The 12km lap is really well thought out and has a good balance of single and dual track. One river crossing and uses part of the river trail if the route is the same. Absolute hoot of an event.
  5. My most expensive product per km was destroying a R1200 tyre 10km into the first ride.
  6. Must have been one HELL of a strike to bend the axle. Put my set through at least 8 years of abuse and they only needed a service towards the end.
  7. That is still brand new and unused though. Not the latest model but still new. Like new old stock.
  8. What is the going rate for a single colour gloss on a carbon dual suspension frame. Will be supplied with linkages removed and bearings + headset removed. DM if you dont want to reply publicly.
  9. Buyer didn't ask. Seller didn't tell. Both at fault. Seller can refund the cost of a remote lever or buyer can buy one for the same price as the shipping he will have to pay. I'm looking at the advert and see two photos. Fork from the front and back. No close-ups of the stanctions or the undersides of the lowers. I would like to see both of these to check for wear and oil leaks + damage. When will people learn that when you buy something that requires shipping to do their due diligence and ask all the questions and request additional photos.
  10. Did you ask for photos of everything? I assume the photos didn’t show the remote lever. Never assume an advert is accurate. Ask your own questions. Would have saved you the drama.
  11. Does spending more on cycling kit than clothes for the office count? I think in a lot of cases priorities are often mistaken for frivolous spending. For example I ride a R120k bike and driving a R100k car vs my brother that rides a R10k bike and drives a R600k car. My priorities are different. Doesn't mean I'm wealthy.
  12. I know it isn't a dual one because I checked
  13. Found one at a local shop but it wasn't reversible unfortunately.
  14. No reason for the rear to be smaller than the front unless your frame has limited space.
  15. Same boat. But, I’m looking for the presta head for a Birzman pump.
  16. Wheel box available if anyone needs on. Had a set of 29” wheels in it. Includes bags and dividers. Getting out out with the trash on Wednesday. Based in Doringkloof Centurion.
  17. Definitely does not work on a Forbidden Druid with an idler wheel setup.
  18. I had to ignore the adjustment guide on both bikes to get the shifting perfect. Trial and error and lots of fiddling with the b-screw. On the Forbidden you have the turn the b-screw all the way out and then adjust until you take up the slack in the chain. Anything else and it just does not shift.
  19. Extremely happy on GX cable coming from Shimano XT/XTR. I can see the benefits of AXS but I can't justify the cost.
  20. In what universe? The Richie Rich one? GX is plenty good enough and can take a proper beating.
  21. While not that close to George, I can highly recommend a day trip out to Cairnbrogie between Knysna and Plett. Insanely good trails and well worth the money spent on fuel. So many options of sections to link together that you can end up spending a whole day there. Just take note that they are closed on Mondays. Second to that I would say Harkerville. The views are amazing and the trail is a good challenge if you do the red route.
  22. The boom may be be over but the bang up the bum without vaseline definitely isn't Got proper reamed on new tyres yesterday. Up 15% in the last 6 months. This sport is definitely not for the cash strapped individual.
  23. The size of the frame was also changed. Hope you get your bike back.
