  1. Sounds like a good idea, if my tubby bag can't fit I can stick my tube and levers in my pocket no problem I will go past Cajees and Cyclelab - I expect Cajees will try rip me off
  2. 2 bottles of water won't be enough for me in a 100km road race, I probably drink 2 bottles in 3 hours just sitting in my office. Rather than using my very large and bulky Camelback, is it practical to carry a spare bottle in your cycling jersey pocket. Is it too bulky, will it fall out? Anyone with experience?
  3. I checked, they are R3500.00 here - group buy = free postage, remember you will pay the 17.5% VAT in the UK. Not sure what it would cost to send down to you in CT though? Some of the small couriers are really cheap if you don't mind waiting a few days
  4. What website are you on? If there is only 15% VAT to pay then it is R1913.00 How much are they here? This sells for R1600.00 here http://www.evanscycles.com/products/thule/proride-591-locking-upright-cycle-carrier-ec017941?query=thule
  5. Yes but would like 4 of these and a roof rack for my trailer http://www.evanscycles.com/products/thule/proride-591-locking-upright-cycle-carrier-ec017941?query=thule
  6. If there is duty then maybe it is not worth it, if there is no duty then I can probably contribute R4200.00 to the buy
  7. Is there duty on bike racks?
  8. Anyone keen on an Evans Cycles group buy to get free postage? You need R5850.00 for free postage Their Thule stuff is 50% cheaper than in SA
  9. Oats is 390 calories/100g and Weetbix is 320 Calories/100g Every morning I have 40g of each with 125ml fat free yogurt each and that is 390 calories in total
  10. I thought it would be cheaper Bokomo oats is R20/kg and for a while the boxes were 1.2kg
  11. I am going to give pronutro a try Anyone know the price and the weight of Pronutro? Futurelife is R30.00 for 500g
  12. Westdene gives 10% off all bikes, on old models they give 15%. They are selling their 2011 models with the discount already but only the sizes they have stock in because the suppliers don't have stock of 2011 models for them to order(except KTM for some reason, they are unpacking 2011 models at Cyclelab right now ) I think I would rather pay 5% more and buy 2012
  13. I am keen to buy a 29" MTB but with 2012 models about to come out I should probably wait. Does anyone have release dates on 29ers from the different brands? This is the info I have so far Merida - there are already some in stores but the only 29HT is low spec (under R10K) Giant - End of August Scott - First week of September
  14. Should still be available, I see it in a few online stores for $58.00
  15. Damn, just seen on CRC it says "Item Discontinued" Still seems to be on Park Tools site though http://www.parktool.com/product/derailleur-hanger-alignment-gauge-dag-2
  16. Think I will get me one http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=60204
  17. This one looks simpler, looking for pricing now http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/rear-derailleur-hanger-alignment
  18. Fancied getting myself one of these but it costs too much for something I will use rarely http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=40564 Anyone know of a cheaper brand that won't break the bank?
  19. I don't think you can use the words "headset" and "standards" in the same sentence
  20. I think my next bike will be a 29 - pity, I like the strides but they are expensive
  21. Anyone have a Venter 4 bike trailer rack? The one that can be bought from Venter as an accessory Any comments before I buy one.
