  1. yep. That’s exactly what I am saying. [emoji4] I am a huge fan of Indian, Mexican and Mediterranean style dishes. Last night was a crispy tofu laksa bowl. How about I post my dinner every night and if you dig it, I’ll post the recipe? If you think it’s rubbish, lie to me and tell me it looks awesome anyway.
  2. I have found that our budget is about 33% of what it used to be. But we don’t use meat replacements( if we do we make our own using a homemade Seitan) and we shop seasonal. Seasonal veg plus a good understanding of spices has been a game changer for us. Happy to share recipes and methods.
  3. I quite like the Thug Kitchen Recipe book series. It's foul mouthed but the food is pretty good and down to earth. Not pretentious but yummy. They also provide lots of alternatives. If a recipe book isn't your thing, then also try anything on pinterest or instagram. Heaps of recipe ideas. Its really not that hard once you get into it. Congrats on being open minded enough to give it a try. Feel free to ask any questions...
  4. that was awesome. And seen. [emoji4]
  5. Looking for some TV inspiration. Shows recently finished Blacklist Queens Gambit Prodigal Son Brooklyn 99 (again) Big Bang Theory Hunters (the al pacino one) Any suggestions?
  6. and for dessert a Oreo "Cheese" cake. Cheese actually made from steeped cashews so again, plant based. To be fair, this was exceptionally sweet and we ended up sharing with the neighbours...
  7. Smokey Lentil Tacos with Salsa and Guacamole and a side of Chipotle Aioli Grilled Corn. All plant based.
  8. So between 7-8 months. Thats awesome!
  9. “This is going to hurt” by Adam Kay A humorous but scary look into the lives of junior doctors in the NHS in UK. Highly recommend.
  10. sure. Makes sense. For me it’s more about getting my hands on discontinued models.
  11. Again, this is according to 1 review, but the plate becomes pliable. But logically (and this is my own scary and uneducated opinion) but I have rarely seen carbo fibre become soft and pliable it normally becomes brittle and breaks down. So not sure what to think to be honest. I do think that 600km is probably a fair average?
  12. Hey Chris. Fair questions. The shoes actually look ok, but some of the forums online talk about the Carbon insert having a short life. One article referred to 300 miles. I cannot find any further information other than that.
  13. Question - What would you expect the lifespan to be of the Nike ZoomFly Flyknits? My mrs runs in these and she is currently sitting on 450km. When would be a good time to replace?
  14. Ill get us going.... In 2016, the swedish tourism council wanted to celebrate having 250 years of "free speech" so they created a single phone number that connected the caller to any random Swedish person in Sweden. Over the 79 days that the campaign ran, almost 200,000 calls were placed with a combined total of 365 days worth of conversations. https://www.theswedishnumber.com/
  15. One of my favourite subreddits is "Today I Learned". A place you can post about some totally random fact you learnt about as long as you can back it up with some sort of source. I thought that you might all like to play...
  16. Yep. I have had multiple types of exposure. 1. I was a Trust Power client and used them for power, gas and broadband. Pricing was "middle of the road" and the broadband was slow and I was not able to use a higher specced modem to improve things. 2. At the time of this all happening, they launched their Samsung freeby deals, and I asked whether I was eligible and they said no. They said it only applied to new clients which I thought was icky and I really wanted a new washing machine. 3. I left and went to Mercury (power/gas) and Stuff Fibre for...well...fibre. Mercury offered good incentives for EV owners and at the time we owned the Nissan Leaf, so this made sense. Stuff has been pretty good with the Fibre and it runs really well. 4. At the time of Trustpower starting the samsung deal, I worked for Fliway Transport (they handled all the warehousing and deliveries for Samsung) and that was a shiiit show. Hopefully they got their act together. None of the above is a reason to NOT sign up with them, and the information may be a little dated, but I am bored and trying to avoid work and that is why I am responding to you.
  17. Slightly related, but my son saved up to buy and Oculus Rift VR headset for his gaming machine. Facebook bought Oculus a while back and have this silly rule that you cannot use your headset unless you have an active Facebook account. So, my 11 year old cannot technically use this device until he is 13 (the minimum age for a Facebook Account) Imagine you had spent over $500USD for a headset and who knows how much on games, only to be told that you can no longer use them unless you sign up and allow Facebook to access your entire gamer profile. Sure, they gave users that owned the products before the buy out a window of time, but that's not really the point. I understand in a situation like WhatsApp and Facebook that are provided for "free" that the user is the product, but in the Oculus scenario, you are actually paying for a tangible thing... TLDR; Facebook sucks
  18. FYI - 7-12 month processing window for Citizenship Applications. Cost $1,400+- for the family of 4
  19. Might need to take the boyo out there to explore those gravel roads... Thanks Gents.
  20. Who has ridden Riverhead before?
  21. Today is a good day - today we are eligible to apply for citizenship. Time has flown!
  22. I will take you up on your offer. for the bicycle, not the Husky Thank you very much. If I can get something that he will grow into, that would be epic, so I am keen to see how he feels on it. Ill message you to arrange pickup deets! THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!
